    3. The crushing process can be performed from two to four times depending on the material and the density to be obtained.
    4. With this machine the fabric receives a very regular and intensive crush effect.
    5. The fabric is almost dry and cold when it leaves the tube, a big advantage for the final finishing of the fabric.
    6. Flat woven articles are normally sent to a transfer calendar to fix the crush effect.
    7. On the transfer calendar it must have two additional options: an opening device by driven rollers together with width control so that the fabric can be stretched to the final width, and an overfed system allowing more fabric to be fed.
    8. With these two options the fabric can be finished with visible crush effects; if the customer needs less effect, the fabric will be stretched more in weft direction with device #1 and held back in warp direction with device #2.
    9. If the customer crushes pile fabrics, one to three passages are necessary; after these processes the fabric goes to the stenter to get its final width and possibly a polishing process on the polrotor machine, which is necessary to open and soften the pile.
