Description

  1. Overview
    1. One used pet sheet line for sale.
    2. Inventory number: E-3400.
    3. Production: approximately 800 lbs per hour (364 kg maximum) conservatively, material dependent.
    4. Year of manufacture varies by component; extruder is 1972 (in superb condition), downstream components vary from mid-80s through rebuilt dies.
  2. Extruder
    1. One used Gloucester 4-1/2" (120 mm) 35:1 vented single screw extruder.
    2. Model: MA FM 244-001, serial number FM244-15815-01.
    3. New in 1972.
    4. 4-1/2" screw diameter, 35:1 L:D, vented.
    5. Driven via Gloucester gearbox.
    6. Feed throat: 5.5" x 6.2" rectangular opening.
    7. DC motor and controller, 185 kW / 277 hp DC drive motor.
    8. A new temperature control panel to be supplied for the extruder and die section with 16 zones.
    9. A new or fully rebuilt DC drive controller supplied for the DC drive motor.
    10. Hydraulic slide plate screen changer with hydraulic power pack.
    11. Liquid cooled closed loop barrel cooling.
    12. Electric heating, 7 zones on barrel.
    13. Barrel side vented.
    14. New Gefran pressure transducer supplied upstream of the screen changer.
    15. Barrel and screw were changed and other updates with around 3000 hours since this work done.
    16. Condition very good overall.
    17. Electrics: 380/3/50 or 480/3/60 as customer requires.
  3. Sheet Die
    1. One used fully rebuilt EDI pet configuration flex lip die model H-40.
    2. New 35 degree facing down adapter fitted to downstream side of screen changer.
    3. All heaters and controls included.
    4. Die range: 0-0.040" (0-1 mm) thick sheet extrusion.
    5. Other dies can be supplied if this range not satisfactory.
  4. Three Roll Stack System
    1. One used NRM pet 3 roll stack system with motorized "tilt" of chrome roll stack to a position of 45" off the vertical, especially designed for nylon and pet sheet extrusion.
    2. Full conveyor from chrome rolls to pull rolls.
    3. Individual drives on each roll.
    4. Roll faces: 54" (1370 mm) x 16" (400 mm) diameter, cored with individual temperature control systems and water heat/cool systems on each roll.
    5. Pneumatically operated on top and bottom roll to open/close.
    6. Operators control station supplied for the sheet downstream.
    7. Pull rolls: 54" (1370 mm) x 8" (200 mm) diameter, rubber covered, with full regenerative drive control system for controlling tension.
    8. Two in-line trim knife stations included.
    9. Includes 8 spare rolls with various embossing patterns and one "green" unfinished roll as part of the package.
  5. Winder Options
    1. One used "A" frame type winder movable for large roll diameters, up to 60" (1.5 meter) diameter, on single shaft, hydraulic drive motor quick disconnect system with hydraulic power pack.
    2. One used Egan single turret winder for roll diameters up to 40" (1 meter) with individual drive motors per spindle, power indexing, heavy duty winder for large and heavy rolls, will include a new drive control system for the winder shaft motors, includes (1) air shaft per spindle.
  6. Optional Items
    1. One pellet conveying system to feed hopper on extruder, manufactured by Premier, condition new surplus, with pellet hopper, all controls, wand and flex hose from box to vacuum hopper; hopper size 2 cubic foot and controls set for automatic fill of hopper.
    2. Crystallizer or hot air dryer system for process of pellet prior to extrusion: various dryers and crystallizers are available and will be quoted when exact specifications of the resin are known.
  7. Included Components
    1. The sheet line as outlined above includes the extruder, sheet die and adapter, 3 roll stack assembly with conveyor and pull rolls.
  8. Condition
    1. Extruder condition very good overall.
    2. Barrel and screw changed with around 3000 hours since work done.
    3. Die fully rebuilt.
    4. Line will only be sold upgraded or reconditioned; age will be minimally relevant as it will be in excellent condition.
