Description Overview Double box down packing baler. Original console replaced with a new one using Allen-Bradley components, which comes with the program on diskette. Tramper cylinder is new. Main hydraulic cylinder was installed in 2006. Hydraulic power unit powered by a 150 hp motor has new pumps and new hoses installed at the same time as the new lift box cylinders. Box and Bale Specifications Boxes are 27 in x 54. Finished bale size using a 10 ft 3 in bale tie is 27 in x 54 in x 42. Hydraulic capacity will pack out an 800 lb bale of synthetic fiber. Finished bale dimensions out of the 380 ton press are 27 in x 54 in x 43. Calculated bale volume is 62,694 cu in (36.28125 cu ft). Press density capability is 28 lb per cu ft, allowing up to 1,015.875 lb bales; 900 lb is possible. Makes 1100 lb bale in merino wool (500 kg). Should make at least a 600 lb bale of wool. Operating Details All double box balers have both pre-press and final press chambers. Fiber feeds to the first pre-press box where it is compressed with a 4 in cylinder at 1200 psi. Retaining dogs hold fiber in place while the box rotates 180 degrees to make the finished bale using a 15 in hydraulic cylinder. Material Density Notes Wool has a density of 1.314 grams per cubic centimeter. Cotton has a density of 1.5 grams per cubic centimeter. Fiber producers note that going over 600 lbs with most fibers creates opening problems for the end using mill. Included Items Stationary screen condenser. Fiber slide. All steel supports. Shipping You can load 76,500 pounds to be loaded in a 40 ft container.
