Panta Rei, Effluent Processing Plant, with Anaerobic Digester and Biogas Safety Flare

Description

  1. Overview
    1. The general process line is as follows: the effluent is pumped to an anaerobic digester, where, under specific pH, temperature, and absence of oxygen, the organic matter goes through four stages of digestion (hydrolysis, acidogenesis, acetogenesis, and methanogenesis).
    2. During these four steps, the organic matter is processed and converted into biogas.
    3. The biogas coming out of the treatment is a mixture containing mainly methane and carbon dioxide, since undesired components such as moisture and excess sulfur are removed with specific equipment.
    4. A safety flare is also provided.
