  1. Components
    1. Gas generator: Rolls Royce Maxi Avon 1534-102C, dual fuel (diesel and/or LPG/NG), overhauled in 2008
    2. Power turbine: GEC EAS1 single stage
    3. Gearbox: GEC marine gears, 50/60 Hz operation
    4. Alternator: GEC salient pole machine, 3 phase, 50/60 Hz, 11/13.8 kV
    5. Control system: Upgraded Woodward Atlas engine controls with Siemens S7 PLC controller for all sequencing, combined with Basler AVR and Beckwith generator protection
  2. History And Upgrades
    1. Unit removed in 2008; engine has run less than 12,500 hours from new
    2. Hot section replacement and overhaul of engine
    3. Dual fuel capability added (engine upgraded to 1534-102C; “C” denotes ability to simultaneously run on gas and liquid fuel, if required)
    4. Control and protection systems upgraded to latest Woodward Atlas controls and Basler/Beckwith protection
    5. Gearbox bearings and internals replaced, allowing machine to run at 50 Hz (original 60 Hz internals available)
    6. Power turbine inspected and bearings changed
    7. Alternator bearings changed, slot wedges retightened, and internals cryogenically cleaned
    8. New instrumentation fitted into package (transmitters rather than the old switches)
    9. New HMI (human machine interface) fitted, allowing remote diagnostics of engine and package
    10. Meefog inlet fogging added (+12% power increase)

    1. Package and gas generator completely refurbished in 2008
    2. Less than 100 hours running since engine upgrade and repair
    3. Capable of dual fuel simultaneous running
    4. 50 or 60 Hz capability
  4. Performance
    1. 12 MWe base load operation (ISO conditions)
    2. 16 MWe peak power operation
    3. Meefog water fogging system installed in air inlet (giving up to 12% increase in output power)
