Gas Turbine 1 History and Current Status
Running hours: 2068.7.
Start counter: 811 cycles.
Unplanned outage since January 22, 2022 due to fragments of magnetic chips detected, signifying power turbine bearing failure.
Corrective actions undertaken: inspection and cleaning of magnetic chip detector (MCD), flushing of oil tank, oil changed, and replacement of oil filters.
Ongoing coordination with GE for repair of power turbine at their depot in Houston, Texas.
Estimated completion of repair from site dismantling, transport (to and from the GE Houston depot) to re-installation, testing and commissioning is 6.5 months.
Target resumption of operation: on or before January 2023.
Gas Turbine 2 History and Current Status
Running hours: 1513.3.
Start counter: 619 cycles.
Declared not available for dispatch on February 10, 2022 due to suspected low turbine lube oil pressure during run-down.
Measures undertaken: inspection and cleaning of MCDs, power turbine lube oil analyzed by a third party, installed new turbine lube oil and scavenge pump, GE engineering remote assistance provided, communication with service provider, GE TFA technical assessment conducted last May 15-16, 2022.
Recommended to replace orifice at high pressure recoup and thrust balance piston (SLFPO 0231: for delivery ETA Aug. 5, 2022).
Target resumption of operation: on or before August 15, 2022.
