Brand new "Venus" five bowl wool scouring plant with six section conveyor dryer
Scouring capacity of 250 to 300 kg/hr for a 4 ft (48 in / 1200 mm) wool way
Designed for use in Mexico
Feeder
Double stage feeder with horizontal wooden lattice, frame size 5 ft face by 1 ft long
Spiked wooden lattice with cloth backing running on chain and chain wheel with required vertical slope
Continuously oscillating stainless steel comb in front of the spike lattice to control feeding
High-speed beater cylinder at the top of the spiked lattice, approximately 20 in diameter and 4 ft face, with 8 blades to strip wool from the spiked lattice
Partition with slope after the first horizontal lattice directs wool to the second vertical spiked lattice
Second comb and beater cylinder strip wool to the bowl
Drive to all lattices, comb and beater rollers provided by motor and reduction gearbox
Photoelectric cell unit controls the first feeder motor and wool feeding
Complete feeder construction from mild steel structure, plate and sheet with necessary tie rods
Scouring Bowls
Five bowl composition with 4 ft wide wool way
All five bowls fabricated from 14 gauge 304 quality stainless steel sheet with argon arc welding
First two bowls are self-cleaning, 15 ft long and 5 ft wide, with driven scroll roll from non-corrosive material with tapered sides
Remaining three bowls are 5 ft wide with 4 ft wool way, cleaned manually via pneumatically operated drain valves
Each stainless steel bowl includes two stainless steel side tanks of 16 gauge sheet
One pumping set provided with both stainless steel side tanks
Suitable cast iron valve supplied to facilitate alternate use of side tanks
Each bowl fitted with stainless steel harrow mechanism to forward wool toward the pneumatic squeezing head
Auxiliary stainless steel harrow mechanism feeds the squeezing head, running faster than the principal harrow
Direct and indirect heating coils in each bowl below the 4 ft perforated wool way (18 gauge 304 quality stainless steel)
One direct heating coil on both side tanks of each bowl
Temperature indicator supplied in each bowl; controller unit available at extra cost
Squeezing Heads
One squeezing head at the end of each bowl with two rollers
Tip roller is mild steel, to be lapped by the client from cross braided wool
Bottom roller is hard chrome metal with slots for slip-free squeezing
Squeezing pressure up to 6 tons applied through pneumatic cylinders
Each squeezing head includes a pneumatic control box with pressure regulating valve, lift and press four-way valves, and pressure gauge
Limit switch on each nip as a safety measure to avoid congestion
7 hp motor directly coupled with suitable reduction gearbox drives each squeezing head
Buyer to provide a suitable air compressor of 9 cfm, plus air lubricator and moisture separators on the airline
Dryer
Six section conveyor dryer
Equipped with one dial type temperature indicator
Fifth bowl has a direct conveyor that feeds wool to the dryer
Washed wool from the fifth bowl fed to the dryer by an extended stainless steel lattice
Controls and Electrical
Centralized control panel with five-stop station for the complete plant
Photocell unit in the feeder to control uniform wool supply at the entry
Temperature indicator cum controller available at extra cost if required
