Drum-Mixer
62" diameter x 28’ long rotary drum
Shell manufactured from INX50 steel, continuously welded both inside and outside using a semi-automatic MIG welding process
Two drum tires constructed from 1045 alloy steel, quenched and tempered to a 200 Brinnel, forged one piece and seamless, factory mounted
Tire support pads are formed 3/8" thick and placed between the drum tire and drum shell
Alternating flight design provides for a high efficiency material veil, reducing operating costs
Flights are staggered throughout the drum for maximum heat transfer
Four trunnions with spherical roller bearings mounted to solid one inch thick trunnion plates, each assembly adjustable for drum alignment
Trunnions hardened to a 550-600 Brinnell / 50-60 Rockwell
Each trunnion driven by a shaft mounted gear reducer 10 hp x 1800 rpm motor
All drives have open mesh belt guards for safety and ease of visual inspection
Two oversized guide rollers ensure total tire/trunnion surface contact
Each guide roller has two high temperature self aligning bearings
Locking collars factory mounted to each guide roller, eliminating shaft slippage
Primary knockout chamber / discharge breeching located at the discharge end of the drum provides for duct transition and velocity reduction, reducing carry over into the pollution control device
Design allows for gravity return of fines back into the mix without any mechanical devices
Manhole access provided with quick release clamps
High temperature drum seals are stud welded externally onto the back of the exhaust / discharge breeching minimizing leakage air
Main plant frame constructed from heavy duty I-beams with structural cross members strategically
Support legs to grade furnished as standard equipment
Venturi Wet Scrubber
68" diameter x 10’ long horizontal scrubber barrel
Barrel constructed with AR400 inlet and end cap
Scrubber has a formed U-shaped trough located at the bottom of the scrubber barrel, tapered to increase drainage of water back to the settling pond
Manhole provided at the end of the scrubber for periodic maintenance and inspection
Magnehelic gauge mounted to the scrubber as a constant monitoring device for pressure drop readings
Adjustable venturi with damper provided to adjust airflow for various production rates
Spray bar mounted just prior to the venturi damper to saturate the dust laden airstream
Venturi and duct sections manufactured with AR400 plate
Elbow into the scrubber barrel lined with chrome carbide for long maintenance life
RTF class 23 series exhaust fan by Twin City Fan features Corten wheel and inlet cone
Self cleaning wheel design and wear pads on the impeller blades allow for long fan life
Anti-friction heavy-duty split spherical roller bearings used
21,000 acfm x 18” wg RTF series exhaust fan and 75 hp x 1800 rpm motor
60 gpm water pump @ 50 p.s.i. direct coupled to a 5 hp, 1800 rpm motor

4 Cold Feed Bins
Cold feed bins mounted on the SPL110 plant frame in order to maintain one load
Each bin divided longitudinally allowing the ability to use four different materials
Top opening of each bin is 12' wide x 9' deep and has a struck capacity of 20 tons based on a material density of 110 pounds per cubic foot
Top lip on each bin reinforced with heavy-duty angle iron
Bin walls fabricated with 1/4" thick steel plate with heavy angle stiffeners for rigid support
Steep sloped sidewalls ensure free flow of material to a self-relieving discharge opening
Multi-position radial type discharge gates with positive locks provided for each feed opening
Heavy 1/2" rubber skirt boards keep material spillage to a minimum
Belt feeder is 30" wide by 7’-6” in length
Each belt feeder has a lagged head pulley and self cleaning, adjustable tail pulley
Each belt feeder drive uses a 3 hp variable speed 1200 rpm A.C. motor
Aggregate Conveyor
24" wide x 10’ long channel style aggregate conveyor transfers material from the belt feeders to the drum fast feed conveyor
Receiving chute has a heavy 1/2" rubber skirt board to keep material spillage to a minimum
Weigh conveyor has a lagged head pulley and self cleaning, adjustable tail pulley and is driven by a 3 hp x 1800 rpm motor
Conveyor has 4" diameter, 35 degree troughing rollers on 4' centers and 4" diameter flat return rollers on 10' centers
Spring tensioned belt cleaner mounted to the head pulley of the weigh conveyor
Drive has an open mesh belt guard for safety and ease of visual inspection
Gravity take-up with 12" diameter pulleys provides for consistent belt tension and is located directly below the belt scale
