Drive And Mechanical Design
With 2 identical gear units with altogether 4 stroke rods
Each main shaft alone weighs about 300 kg; because of its very high rotating mass, this drive guarantees a very smooth run not only at high stroke frequency for light sheets but also at low stroke frequency necessary for heavy sheets
Equilibration of 1st and 2nd grade by equilibrating shafts synchronously running in opposite direction of the heavy main shafts
Central oil-lubrication automatically oils the bearings of the main shafts, the bearings of the equilibrating shafts and the bearings of the connecting rods
Each gear unit can be taken out of the machine as a whole unit

Variable speed geared motor for feed of the sheet
Material Handling And Adjustments
The material to be needled is pressed by two driven feeding conveyors and additional feeding rollers with fingers
Variable speed geared motor for draw-off rollers, press roller for pneumatic handling
Pneumatic clamping device for needle board to allow easy exchange in a few minutes only
Stationary stripper plate, manual adjustment of stripper height
Infinitely adjustable bed: motor-driven adjustment of needle penetration depth within a range of 0-32 mm, with mm-indicator and adjusting lock

1 needle board and 1 spare needle board with plastic inserts for 15 gauge needles without needles
1 stripper plate
1 bed plate, holes 8.0 mm
Additional Facilities
By-pass conveyor with a length of about 3 m mounted under the needle-felting machine; the frame for the conveyor is also used as foundation
Pneumatic clamping device also for the bed plate of the needle-felting machine - similar to the one of the needle board
Magnetic rail above draw-off rollers to collect broken needles
