Description

  1. Overview
    1. Inventory number: E-7659
    2. Small electrically heated calender/laminator for nonwoven
    3. 2-roll calender for nonwoven
    4. Drawing available
  2. Technical Features
    1. Max width of the product: 1000 mm
    2. Diameter of the operating rolls: about 500 mm
    3. Mechanical speed: 20 m/min
    4. Heating: with diathermic oil electrical heated
    5. Nip adjustment: 0-30 mm
    6. Electrical power: 50 kW heating included
  3. Mainframe
    1. Very strong welded construction with the appropriate seats for the rolls bearings
    2. Formed by two side pieces connected by connecting parts
    3. On the two sides of the machine there are the suitable seats for the drive and the heating system
  4. Rolls
    1. The rolls have a vertical disposition
    2. One roll is movable by two pneumatic actuators
    3. The surface of the rolls is smooth and coated chromium plating
    4. The rolls are machined from two single pipes of steel
    5. The hot oil circulates at high speed in a peripheral space under the surface
    6. This particular way assures a good temperature uniformity on the surface
  5. Hot Oil Circuits
    1. The hot oil is heated by two independent circuits in order to have independent temperatures on the two rolls
    2. Starting from the boiler we have the following components: flexible pipes, rotating joints
    3. The oil is moved by an appropriate pump
    4. The flow is very high to limit the temperature difference from exit and inlet to 1 or 2°C, assuring a very good temperature uniformity on the surface of the roll
    5. The temperature is controlled by an electronic device
    6. A complete electric box includes all the control electric components for the two circuits
  6. Bearings and Bearing Seats
    1. The rolls of the calender are provided with roll bearings
    2. These bearings are lubricated by grease
  7. Adjustment of the Nip
    1. Between the bearing seats are installed two devices to adjust the distance between the rolls
    2. By a micrometric adjustment it is possible to change the nip, according to the different processing operations
  8. Pneumatic System
    1. The bearing seats are connected to the frame by two pneumatic pistons to allow the movement of one roll and to give the necessary pressure during the surface calendering operation
    2. The pressure is adjustable independently for the two pistons
    3. It is possible a quick opening in the emergency situations
  9. Rolls Drive
    1. The roll drive can be installed on the right or left side of the calender, according to the layout requested by the customer
  10. Electric Panel
    1. The plant is supplied with a complete electric panel in which are installed all the electrical driving elements for the regulation and the temperature
  11. Supply Limits
    1. In our supply all the connections with the outside are excluded and i.e.: the arrival pipe of the heating fluid, and oil between boiler and calender
    2. The electric connections from the line to the panel and from the panel to the machine
    3. The eventual building works
    4. The diathermic oil for the boiler
    5. The insulation of the pipes between boiler and calender
    6. Roll engraving
    7. The boiler
