Description

  1. Overview
    1. Foam after shredding is blown into the mixing drum of the foam re-bonding machine.
    2. After mixing with adhesive, the mixture is dropped into a standard size mold (L2m × W1.55m × H1.2m) where it goes under hydraulic pressure to shape bonded foam.
    3. Automatic re-bonding machine with steam can produce foam 5 times as fast as one without steam.

  3. Chemical Composition
    1. The chemical for making re-bond foam is a mixture of PPG, TDI and MC.
    2. The mix proportion of these materials is PPG:TDI:MC = 100:25:87.
    3. Step 1: Heat PPG to 170 °C.
    4. Step 2: After PPG cools down to 90 °C, add TDI and mix well.
    5. Step 3: After the PPG and TDI mixture cools down to 40 °C, add MC and mix well again.
    6. 15–17 kg of this chemical can be used for 100 kg of foam.
