  2. Rotary Creel
    1. Three level (TL) rotary creel for packages up to 360 mm diameter x 200 mm stroke with height to top package of 1243 mm.
  3. Yarn Feed Systems
    1. Input feed mounted on outrigged frame.
    2. Single pass nip, input and output feed.
    3. Double wrap capstan, intermediate feed.
    4. Hard chrome-plated feed rollers, mounted directly onto through shafts.
    5. Safety shrouds fitted between rollers to facilitate wrap removal.
    6. Compound traverse for yarn fitted to all feeds.
  4. Primary Heater
    1. 2 m demi-bay (3 twin tracks per unit); thermosyphon heaters, installed vertically on the outrigged frame.
  5. Maintenance Platform
    1. To give access to primary heaters for easier maintenance.
  6. Cooling Zone
    1. With 2 m heater, 2.55 m nominal length with 2.13 m effective contact length of cooling/stabilizing track.
  7. Twisting Units
    1. Positorq 2A with either lo-sno ceramic coated, lo-sno solid ceramic or supertwist polyurethane discs.
    2. Symmetrical geometry for S and Z operation.
    3. Semi-automatic threading mechanism fitted on each unit inserts yarn into running position.
  8. Stabilizing Heater
    1. 1.46 m electrical resistance block heater, with 24 yarn tubes per bay assembly.
  9. Take-Up Zone
    1. Bay length traverse assemblies, having a max. speed of 545 cycles/minute.
    2. Radial disturbance is by means of an accurate mechanical linkage driven from a single motor.
    3. The amount of edge disturbance is adjustable up to 12 mm.
  10. Advanced Package Support (APS)
    1. Reverse pivot geometry, fitted with programmed feedback to produce double tape packages of 3, 9, or 18 deg.
    2. Package brake and auto open facilities are fitted to aid doffing.
    3. Maximum package size: 250 mm stroke x 300 mm diameter.

  11. Metered Yarn Oil Application (Metoil)
    1. Restrictors fitted to each multiplan applicator guide provide a controlled amount of oil to each threadline position.
    2. The oil flow is adjusted by a control of the oil pressure in the end leg.
  12. Cutters and Detectors
    1. Non-contact detectors located between output feed and yarn oiling operate cut and hold devices situated prior to input nip.
    2. Signal lamp warns operator of break.
  13. Control Systems
    1. Introl integrated micro-processor based control and information system, controls and monitors heater temperatures, traverse, axial/radial disturbance and all motors.
    2. Heater temperature range: primary 160-250° C, stabilizing 100-230° C.
  14. Fume Extraction
    1. Via ports at each heater twin track position.
    2. Ducting connects to integrated extraction fans both side of the machine, each rated at 2.2 kW and extract 40 m3/min at -0.017 bar.
    3. Each fan unit houses a removable filter and condensate collection tank.
    4. Adaptor provided to allow buyer single connection of duct to plant system.
  15. Yarn Suction
    1. Eight state suction fan and waste yarn tanks fitted in end leg.
    2. Suction tubes above and below take-up zone fitted each side of the machine to convey waste to the collection tanks.
  16. Machine Drives
    1. 45 kW (60 HP) AC motor, drives take-up traverse, all yarn feed systems and twisting units via a toothed belt gearbox.
    2. Machine speed: 300 to 900 m/min nominal.
    3. Draw ratio: 0.98:1 to 3.26:1 in increments of approx. 0.05.
    4. Disc/yarn ratio: 1.5:1 to 2.3:1 in increments of approx. 0.05.
    5. Stabilizing overfeed: -1.59 to 21.6% in increments of approx. 0.5%.
  17. Power Supply
    1. 3-phase supply voltage with a maximum acceptable fluctuation of +/-6% and +/-0.5 Hz.
    2. Wiring and switch gear to machine to be provided by the buyer to suit power conditions stated.
  18. Air Conditioning
    1. Ambient conditions should be maintained at 20-25° C and 60-65% RH for optimum process performance.
    2. Humidity must not at any time exceed 70% RH, as this may lead to corrosion of some machine parts.
