The production rate is calculated with input material with a content of ferrous scrap of 70%
If kurum is looking for cleaning light commercial scrap with a lower share of waste and nonferrous metal, the production rate will go up
Specifications
Internal width of feeding chute: 2,500 mm (sufficient to feed complete car bodies)
Internal width of housing: 2,600 mm
Dust emissions will be less than 50 mg/nm³
Production Rate Increase
The shredder can be equipped with a pre-ripper
Car bodies and bundles are first pre-ripped with a 3-shaft-shredder (available as a new machine from akroshenschel, kassel/ or as a like-new machine from american pulverizer ready for direct shipping) or as a 2-shaft-shredder (maybe there is short-term a used machine available as well)
The pre-ripper has a capacity of 30-40 tons per hour which is enough since not all the scrap has to pass that machine
The pre-ripping will lead to an increase of the output of the shredder of about 20-30% (which is proven from a lot of operations)

The dismantling can start in very short term and the start-up could be within 3-4 months
