  4. Construction
    1. Process flow: open-width entering → E&L pneumatic edge guider → padding → automatic weft straightening → lower overfeeding → mechanical weft straightening → screw expanding → upper overfeeding → selvedge uncurling → infra-red edge controlling → clipping → stentering or thermosetting → air cooling → declipping → water drum cooling → plaiting & batching.
    2. Entry section: the entry frame to be formed by 4 mm thick steel plate, including guider rollers, tightening rollers, a width limiting device, a pneumatic edge guider.
    3. Width limiting device: used to fix the edge of fabrics and driven by a 40 W motor.
    4. E&L pneumatic edge guider for reliable edge control.
    5. Padder: horizontal or slant type. If slant type, the padder consists of the frame, two padding rollers, a padding trough, two cylinders, expanding rollers, a motor and the pneumatic system.
    6. Padding rollers: covered by 25 mm thick butadiene-acrylonitrile rubber, with hardness of about Shore 80°. The padding rollers are pressurized by two pneumatic cylinders with max. working pressure for each cylinder being 0.4 MPa.
    7. Padding trough: welded by stainless steel sheet, with guide rolls and a level control device inside. The trough can be turned over and reset by two cylinders.
    8. Driving power: 7.5 kW, controlled by an inverter.
    9. Feeding box, including an overfeeding device, a mechanical weft straightener and a screw expanding device.
    10. Overfeeding device: including lower overfeeding and upper overfeeding driven separately by two 2.2 kW motors, with diameter of each overfeeding roller being 150 mm.
    11. Mechanical weft straightener: two straightening rolls, dia. 125 mm, mounted separately before the two screw expanding rolls, are driven by two 370 W motors through a speed reducer.
    12. Screw expanding device: the function of screw expanding is to spread the fabric efficiently for easy clipping. There are two expanding rolls driven by a 2.2 kW motor.
    13. Fabric holding system, including an infra-red edge controller, a two-finger uncurler, a fabric supporting device, synchronous conveying belts and clip openers.
    14. Infra-red edge controller: when at the entry fabric edges deviate right or left, the edge controller will drive the 1st section of guide rails to follow the movements of the fabric selvages, so as to ensure precise pinning or clipping, consisting of two infrared sensors, one controller and two drivers, with the advantages including ignorance of color and thickness of the fabrics, high sensitivity, low energy consumption and wide regulating range etc.
    15. Two-finger uncurler: one set of uncurlers is mounted on the feeding rails before the infrared sensors. The two screw fingers are turned by motors to spread fabric edge completely before being pinned or clipped. The looping angle of the fabric edge on the finger can be changed by adjusting the relative position between the two pair of fingers for optimized uncurling effect.
    16. Fabric support apparatus: used to support the fabric edges for clipping.
    17. Clip opener at the entry: the clip carrier is lifted through this opener to let the fabric enter into the holding area.
    18. Clip opener at the exit: the clip opener at the exit is carried out by a pair of disks which rotate with the movement of the clips.
    19. Rails and width regulating apparatus, consisting of rails, chain tension regulating device, chains, and width regulating device.
    20. Rails: to be made of 6 mm thick steel sheet with anti-abrasive steel plates placed inside of the rails on which chain rollers are moving along. On the rails where clips or pin plates are running, special graphite ledges are mounted so that lubricants are no more needed there. The graphite ledges can work for 7200 hours or more and may be replaced easily. The 1st section of rails, controlled by the edge controller, can move 100 mm right and left following the movement of the fabric edges. The 2nd section of rails, the 6 m rails inside the chambers and the delivery rail can be moved relatively to each other. There are no guide mechanisms installed at the joints of these rails, so that the chain can run steadily and smoothly at high speed.
    21. Chain tension regulating device: the entering rails connect the 2nd section of rails via sliders and can slide relatively after the 2nd rails. The cylinder applies thrust to the entering rail to balance the tension of the chain which is regulated with the pressure of the cylinder.
    22. Clips and chains: clips are made of A-alloy. The outside bars of the chain are made of 4 mm steel plate. The rolling bearings of the chain are filled with imported high-temperature grease which can last one year.
