Description Overview One DG178 cross lapper with 2500 mm entry and 3600 mm exit. Used to lap carded fiber to the required thickness (height) and width for the next work process. Construction Main frame is fabricated steel structure with high strength and stability. Thickness of the cross section is 8 mm. All motion gears are lightweight and high strength for reliable operation. Lapping and Web Control Lapping is controlled by a separate inverter to ensure even web quality. Reciprocal movement has a photo electric limit control. Web irregularity: ±5% (left, middle, right three points). Motor and Drive Specifications All motors are inverter controlled. Power of the reciprocating unit is 5.5 kW. Oblique apron and compressing apron motor is 3 kW. Bottom motor is 4 kW. Drive speed is matched and adjustable according to the requirement of the oven or product. Speed: 45 meters per minute (150 yards per minute). Apron and Lattice Details Width of input apron: 2700 mm (106.3 inches). Width of output apron: 3600 mm (141.7 inches). Bottom (take-off) apron of the cross lapper is wooden lattice. Input apron is synthetic belting. Adjustable height of the bottom lattice of the cross lapper is 1000 mm (40 inches). Lift-drop of bottom lattice is controlled by electric controls and a press roller at the exit of the cross lapper.
