ADM, MM225, 2005, 300 TPH, 7' 4" x 30' Dryer, 6' x 16' Mixer

Description

  1. Overview
    1. 2005 ADM 300 TPH asphalt plant.
    2. 225 TPH production rate based on: 275°F fan gas temperature, 300°F material temperature, 70°F ambient temperature, 650' above sea level, 50% excess air, 10% casing losses, 5% leakage air, 5% moisture removal, 5% liquid asphalt, 20% minus #8 materials.
    3. Variations to these specifications will result in an increase or decrease to the stated capacity.
  2. Mm225 Dryer
    1. 7' 4" diameter x 30' long rotary drum. The shell is manufactured from 1/2" thick A572 steel.
    2. Two (2) dryer tires constructed from 1045 alloy steel, quenched and tempered to a 200 Brinnel, forged one piece and seamless are factory mounted. Tire support pads are placed between the drum tire and drum shell.
    3. Four (4) adjustable trunnions with spherical roller bearings. Trunnions are hardened to a 50-60 Rockwell and driven by shaft mounted gear reducers and 20 hp x 180 rpm motors.
    4. Two (2) oversized guide rollers ensure total tire/trunnion surface contact.
    5. An alternating flight design provides for a high efficiency material veil, reducing operating costs. Flights are staggered for maximum heat transfer. All production flights are bolted.
    6. The discharge breeching has a chrome carbide lined discharge chute feeding material into the mixing drum. An exhaust gas incineration collar is mounted to the discharge breeching, around the burner tube. This provides for the introduction of mixing drum gases for incineration of blue smoke and assisting in the combustion process. High temperature drum seals are stud welded externally onto the back of the discharge breeching minimizing leakage air.
    7. The exhaust breeching located at the feed entry of the drum provides for duct transition and velocity reduction. A manhole access is provided with quick release clamps. High temperature drum seals are stud welded externally onto the back of the exhaust breeching minimizing leakage air.
    8. Main frame is constructed from heavy duty I-beams with support legs to grade.
  3. Mm225 Mixer
    1. 6' diameter x 16' long rotary drum. The shell is manufactured from 3/8" thick A572 steel.
    2. The exterior of the mixing drum has 1-1/2" thick insulation covered with a 16 gauge steel wrap.
    3. Two (2) dryer tires constructed from 1045 alloy steel, quenched and tempered to a 200 Brinnel, forged one piece and seamless are factory mounted. Tire support pads are placed between the drum tire and drum shell.
    4. Four (4) adjustable trunnions with spherical roller bearings. Trunnions are hardened to a 50-60 Rockwell and driven by shaft mounted gear reducers and 15 hp x 1800 rpm motors.
    5. Two (2) oversized guide rollers ensure total tire/trunnion surface contact.
    6. A staggered, adjustable flight design provides for maximum mixing efficiency and consistent mix quality. Flights are bolted in for ease of adjustment or replacement.
    7. Discharge breeching has a chrome carbide lined discharge chute feeding material into the drag conveyor. A gas recovery fan is mounted to the top of the breeching and incorporates an outlet damper to evacuate the steam and blue smoke. These gases are channeled back around the burner flame to incineration, which also reduces fuel consumption.
    8. Main frame is constructed from heavy duty I-beams with support legs to grade.
  4. Inlet (Slinger) Feed Conveyor
    1. Fast feed slinger conveyor with 5 hp x 1800 rpm motor.
    2. Shaft mounted gear reducer.
