  1. Overview
    1. Complete fiber melt spinning, drawing and baling system capable of producing 150 metric tons per day of polyester staple fiber.
    2. Designed to produce high tenacity staple fiber from 0.9 to 1.5 denier per filament but capable of running a wider range of deniers.
    3. Complete with Autefa bale presses.
    4. Produces 450 kg bales.
    5. Capable of 1.5 denier.
  2. Fiber Spinning Equipment
    1. Two spinning machines consisting of 24 positions each with total throughputs greater than 150 metric tons per day.
    2. Equipment is in very good condition with less than 1 year of total run hours accumulated.
    3. Programming and startup issues were resolved prior to shutdown.
    4. Typical positional throughputs were 142 – 150 pounds per position hour but more is possible.
    5. All equipment on the spin beam floor is class 1, div II rated for hazardous duty.
    6. Eight custom built spin beams (4 per spinning machine) made by Wright Industries, each with 6 spinning positions designed for equal flow and residence time.
    7. Jack screws, wear plates (many instrumented), and freeze valves included for each position.
    8. By-pass blocks for flushing also included.
    9. 48 polyester metering pumps plus spares, Zenith 80cc model HXB-7023-80-04.
    10. 48 Reuland motors for metering pumps, 7.5-hp, 1800 rpm, TEFC, hazardous duty class 1, div II approved, 460 volt, 60 hertz, with manual hand brake.
    11. 80 Barmag spin packs, diam 260 mm.
    12. Two sets of spinnerets manufactured by Karen: one set of 80 spinnerets with 4544 holes and one set of 80 spinnerets with 5197 holes.
    13. Two vapor phase jacketed pack preheaters capable of holding 26 packs (or pumps) each.
    14. Complete custom built spinning frames, face plates, and take-up including outflow quench diffusers, finish applicators, guidery, slub catchers, endbreak detectors, Neumag turning rolls, and interminglers.
    15. Positional diffusers actuate into and out of position.
    16. Spin finish delivery system including individual Zenith metering pumps for each position capable of pumping low viscosity fluids (i.e. water).
    17. Waste aspirator system custom made by Carrington Engineering with Hoffman blowers, including string-up guns, hoses, tubing, parking nozzles, waste collection bins, and waste buggies.
    18. Complete pack, pump, and spinneret cleaning system including pyrolysis oven, pack breakdown and assembly equipment, and hydraulic press.
    19. Lightweight, perfectly balanced bridge crane system for pack handling and installation with air actuated hoists.
    20. Two complete quench air supply systems including coils, filters, and motors.
    21. Two quench exhaust blowers.
    22. Complete control systems for all areas (spinning, canning, finish preparation, quench air, HVAC) using Allen-Bradley PLCs.
  3. Drawing Section
    1. Consists of 2-stage draw lines (including 25 roll annealing sections) supplied by Neumag and dryers supplied by Proctor.
    2. Capable of processing up to 4.0 million denier tows at draw speeds up to 400 meters per minute.
    3. Draw stand has automated doors and window cleaning platform at all speeds, including holding full draw ratio at zero speed.
    4. Line speeds and draws can be changed while the line is running using Allen-Bradley PLCs and drives.
    5. One special Linde R14 creel truck with battery charger.
    6. One lot of creel bar with ceramic guides with automated inspection system to detect presence of sub tows in the correct guide and tangles/knots.
    7. Two creel sub tow guide stations with drain pans (leaving the creels).
    8. One intermediate sub tow guide station (between creel and draw lines).
    9. One adjustable pre tension guide station (entering the draw lines).
    10. One seven roll pre tension stand with safety doors, lube system, and 60 hp motor.
    11. One finish bath station with load cell for tow tension control.
    12. One temperature control station for finish baths including hot and cold heat exchangers with pump and 10 hp motor.
    13. One 1st draw stand 1 with seven rolls, lube system, safety doors and 300 hp drive motor.
    14. One draw stand 1 temperature control skids including hot and cold heat exchangers with pump and 10 hp motor.
    15. One spray immersion baths with suction tanks.
    16. One spray immersion bath temperature control skids with cool water and steam heat exchangers with pump and 40 hp motor, capable of running in spray mode, immersion mode, or a combination of the two.
    17. One 1st draw stand 2 with seven rolls, lube system, safety doors and 800 hp motor.
    18. One 1st draw stand 2 temperature control skids with steam heat exchangers and pump with 10 hp motor.
    19. One steam draw chests in 2nd draw zone, with steam flow control.
    20. One four section heat set calendar: 1st section is seven rolls with 1000 hp motor, 2nd is six rolls with 800 hp motor, 3rd is six rolls with 800 hp motor, and 4th is six rolls with 800 hp motor.
    21. Heat set has three heat zones using 300# steam with temperature controls, all steam piping and condensate return including collection pot with level control.
    22. One 3 ply tow stackers with 40 hp motors.
    23. One dancers (tension devices) with hydraulic tension controls and load cell.
    24. One three meter crimper steam chests with steam flow controls.
    25. One 460 mm Baltic crimpers with 250 hp motors, hydraulic control panel, and 300# steam supply with flow controls.
    26. One spare crimpers and spare parts.
    27. One post crimper finish applications with slide for finish over spray removal.
    28. Cooling conveyors with exhaust fans and traverse guides.
    29. One tow inverters at the entrance to the dryers.
    30. One Proctor & Schwartz dryers, with five heat zones and one cooling zone, 40# steam supply with temperature controls for the individual zones, three exhaust fans.
    31. One crossover platform with tow guide bars above the exit of the dryers.
    32. One “J” boxes at the end of the dryers.
    33. One “Jacobs” tensioning ladders at the dryer exit with knot detectors and custom designed Neet finish applicators.
    34. One set of guidery for dryer exit, pretension stand, and pre-cutter tow handling.
    35. One DM&E model 310 cutter pre tension stand.
    36. One DM&E series 90 cutters plus spare parts.
  4. Baling and Wrapping System
    1. One fully automated and programmed 500-ton Autefa baler per draw line capable of producing 31 bales/hour per baler.
    2. Each baler complete with an automatic strapping carriage with three heads; running with all three heads allows a bale to be strapped using only two carriage positions, reducing strapping time.
    3. Unit is also capable of running off 1 or 2 heads in case a head is disabled.
    4. Signode automatic stretch wrapping system including one vertical and one horizontal wrapping station per baler.
    5. Associated roller conveyors to transport the bales into and out of the system, with controls to handle multiple bales in transport.
    6. Either bale wrapping system could handle the bales fed from the other baler.
    7. One labeling system to label each bale in two places.
    8. Bale stacking system to move the bales to a take off point and stack them three high.
    9. Conveying system could handle short term storage if fork lift was not available.
  5. Condition and Additional Details
    1. Exhaust systems, one over the draw line, pulled at draw stands, heat set sections, and shock cooling boxes, and exhausted to atmosphere.
    2. All equipment is disassembled and the in ground floor is ready for shipment.
