  3. Principle Of Reactive Hotmelt
    1. Two-stage process: thermoplastic phase and reactive phase.
    2. Thermoplastic phase: hotmelt becomes liquid during and solid after application; provides initial bonding strength.
    3. Reactive phase: PUR starts cross linking under influence of humidity and temperature; after full reaction, cross linked PUR shows final properties (irreversible).
  4. Advantage Of A Reactive Pur Hotmelt
    1. Washing machine at 40 °C, 60 °C, or 90 °C.
    2. Alkaline resistance.
    3. Dry cleaning (resistance against chlorinated solvents).
    4. Sterilisation at 134 °C during 18 minutes (autoclave).
