Alpaca Yarn Spinning Plant, Worsted Spinning System, 1 to 8 Inch Fiber Length, 24 to 32 Worsted Count

Description

  1. Overview
    1. 100% U.S. alpaca textile company using only U.S. alpaca fiber.
    2. Vertically integrated: personally selects fiber from U.S. alpaca farms, spins the fiber, has it knitted or woven in the U.S., and cuts and sews it in the U.S.
    3. Alpaca fiber is difficult to spin; U.S. alpaca fiber is even more challenging.
    4. U.S. alpaca fiber is different from South American fiber, which comes contaminated with wool.
    5. Developed a system to use a worsted spinning system to spin 1 inch to 8 inches and longer alpaca fiber.
    6. Produces 24 to 32 worsted count and 2/24 to 2/32 two ply.
    7. Future plans include producing 3 ply yarns for the wall carpet market.
    8. Uses all micron sizes of fiber: fine micron for lightweight knits, jersey for golf shirts, knitted dresses, and coarse fiber for all-natural wall-to-wall alpaca carpeting.
  2. Product lines
    1. Five main product lines with many items in each line.
    2. Five patentable systems to process U.S. alpaca fiber profitably.
    3. Works with natural alpaca fiber colors and can make smaller runs of specific fiber colors profitably.
  3. Sales network
    1. Network of independent apparel sales reps covering the USA, Canada, and some Pacific Rim countries.
    2. Backlog of orders for alpaca long underwear, which will be wholesaled and retailed for less than imported alpaca items from South America.
    3. Backlog of orders for alpaca golf sweaters and golf shirts currently in production.
    4. Orders generated without advertising, solely through word of mouth.
