On the occasion of Interzum 2003 in Cologne, Hennecke GmbH presented for the first time its new BFM compact line.
Blocfoamat (BFM) production lines are used for manufacturing slabstock foams in a discontinuous process.
The round and square blockware made on such systems can be processed into a great number of different end-products such as mattresses, upholstered furniture or profiled packaging parts.
One of these machines alone can actually manufacture a great variety of foam grades based on polyether: standard foams, highly resilient cold-curing foams, hypersoft foams, high-load bearing and viscoelastic foams and spongy-type foams.
Standard foams have a density of 20 to 50 kilograms per cubic meter; the density can however be reduced down to 10 kilograms per cubic meter by a blowing agent.
BFM compact systems are equipped with four metering lines for pure polyol, isocyanate, activator mix and tin, which make production very flexible and minimize the time needed for preparing and conditioning the raw materials.
High precision pumps are used to ensure accurate metering and a high degree of reproducibility.
The tin metering line as a recirculation system so that even very small quantities can be precisely metered.
The option of selecting the mixer speed makes it possible to manipulate the foam's cell structure during the mixing process.
The new line is a further developed version of the well-proven BFM 2000 technology; its name results from the system's extremely compact design.
The entire machine with all of its modules is mounted on a single frame; only the day tanks for isocyanate and polyol have to be connected.
This means that BMF compact lines need very little space and are fast to install and start up (plug & play).
Based on its design, the machine can be offered at an attractive price level while using well-proven quality components.
