Bryan, RV-OS-S-150-FDG, 1999, Forced Draft Natural Gas Steam Boiler, 150 psig

Description

  1. Overview
    1. Forced draft natural gas steam boiler
    2. Multi-pass flue gas travel for maximum heat extraction
    3. Constructed and assembled as a completely packaged unit ready for field connections to the steam supply, return connection, electrical power supply, fuel supply, relief valve discharge, building management controls and flue-gas vent
    4. 150 psig steam boiler manufactured in strict accordance with the ASME power boiler code, section I, and bears the ASME “S” stamp for a maximum working pressure of 150 psig
  2. Vessel And Tube Construction
    1. Constructed on a heavy steel frame
    2. Boiler pressure vessel constructed of adequately sized upper and lower drums
    3. A minimum of two downcomers are located inside the furnace chamber to maximize proper thermal internal water circulation
    4. Boiler steam drum outside diameter: no less than 24 in
    5. Steam drum designed for providing steam quality in excess of 99%
    6. Steel water tubes: 1.5 in outside diameter, 0.095 in wall thickness, six-pass, flexible serpentine bend design, not subject to thermal shock damage
    7. Individual water tubes are easily removable and replaceable without welding or rolling
    8. Maximum of two tube configurations
    9. Complete with an adequate number of tappings and inspection opening to facilitate internal boiler inspection and cleaning
  3. Furnace/Combustion Chamber Construction
    1. Access to the furnace/combustion chamber through hinged access doors with an opening of 26 in width x 62 in height to allow for inspection of the interior chamber and the burner head
    2. All remaining panels are individually removable
    3. All access panels are affixed to the pressure vessel frame and insulated with 2 in internal fiber mono block and 2 in high temperature ceramic blanket insulation and are fully gasketed for pressurized firing
    4. The chamber is water-wall design with one side of removable panels
    5. The stationary interior wall is lined with 2 in ceramic blanket insulation
    6. Front and rear wall insulation: 5 in mineral fiber mono block and 2 in ceramic blanket insulation
    7. The chamber and flueways are designed to operate at a positive 0.50 in w.c. at the boiler flue outlet
    8. The boiler will require a “positive pressure” type metal flue
  4. Jacket Construction
    1. Boiler unit includes a metal jacket, 16 gauge, zinc-coated, rust-resistant steel casing, finished with a suitable heat resistant paint and constructed on a structural steel frame and insulated with minimum 1.5 in fiberglass insulation
    2. Complete jacket and insulation is easily removable and reinstalled
    3. Complete with individually removable jacket doors with handles providing easy access to combustion chamber and access panels
    4. Entire tube area is easily accessible for fireside cleaning
    5. All controls are mounted on boiler front
    6. Any external downcomers are provided with factory supplied insulation, jacketing and guards to prevent human contact to high temperature surfaces while boiler is in operation
  5. Steam Boiler Trim
    1. Complete with the following trim and controls:
    2. ASME safety-relief valve(s)
    3. Steam pressure gauge
    4. High limit safety control
    5. Water gauge glass
    6. Low water cutoff and feed pump control
    7. Auxiliary low water cutoff – probe type m/r
    8. Gauge cocks
  6. Gas Burner And Control Equipment
    1. Complete with a UL listed force draft flame retention gas burner
    2. Burner complete with integral motor and blower for supplying sufficient combustion air with normal vent conditions
    3. Fuel: natural gas
  7. Included Controls
    1. Main manual gas shutoff valves
    2. Motorized gas valve operator and auxiliary safety shutoff gas valve
    3. Motorized gas valve with proof of closure operator and auxiliary safety shutoff gas valve
    4. High and low gas pressure switches
    5. Gas pilot shutoff and solenoid valves
    6. Gas pilot ignition assembly with ignition transformer
    7. Pilot and main gas pressure regulators
    8. Burner mounted control panel containing:
      1. Four indicator lights – call for heat, ignition, fuel, and flame safeguard alarm
      2. Air safety switch
      3. Fused on/off switch
      4. Motor starter(s)
      5. Honeywell electronic combustion safety control
  8. Installation Requirement
