Capability note: While the BSV-1 cutting unit is the foundational machine for Bäumer "Loopers", this specific line is currently configured strictly for straight, horizontal long-block cutting. It does not currently include the upper return/inclined conveyors required to move blocks in a continuous endless circle. To use it as a full looper, the buyer would need to purchase and install these additional return parts.

Material Applications and Feed Requirements
Machine application: Specialized horizontal looper/peeler designed for splitting dense technical materials.
Primary materials: Polyethylene (PE), cellular rubber, EPDM, foamed rubber, neoprene, and similar materials with extreme shore hardnesses.
Important feeding note: Due to the density and rigidity of the specialized materials it processes, this machine is designed to be fed with pre-cut planks/slabs that are glued into an endless loop. It does not accept standard 1200 mm+ tall PU foam buns.
Material suitability note: The Bäumer BSV series is technically capable of processing a wide range of materials, but its suitability for reticulated foam and rigid PIR/PI foams depends strongly on the specific machine configuration and the cutting tools used.
Flexible and reticulated foam: Reticulated foam (such as Bulpren or filter foam) is flexible and can in principle be cut on a BSV machine (looper).
Fixation requirement: Because reticulated foam has an open-cell structure, a powerful vacuum system (often optional on the BSV) is essential to secure the material on the conveyor belt during cutting.

Hot Melt Gluing System

In European industrial foam converting machinery, "WLA" stands for Walzenauftragsanlage (roller application machine / coater). In a looper setup like this, this unit is used to apply hot-melt adhesive to the ends of the foam planks so they can be glued together to form the "endless loop." The number 2100 explicitly designates the maximum mechanical working width of those application rollers in millimeters.
Because this gluer is integrated into the continuous loop line, the maximum width of the foam blocks/planks you can process is strictly bottlenecked by this 2100 mm dimension. The line has a mechanical aperture of 2.1 meters, engineered specifically to process standard 2000 mm (2-meter) wide master blocks/planks while leaving a safe 50 mm (about 2 inches) of lateral clearance on each side so the block/plank does not scrape the side-frames as it travels at high speeds.
