Description Overview Four-machine pillow-top production line Includes one flanger-serger, one pillow-top gusset ruffler, one taping/mitering machine, and one blindstitch machine Panel Flanging Machine / Flanger-Serger Sews the flange around the quilted top panel so it can later be attached to the pillow-top gusset or mattress assembly Examples include the Porter PFM series and Galkin X-5 Pillow-Top Gusset Maker / Gusset Ruffler Produces the decorative pillow-top gusset, including the gathered or ruffled corners May also be called a pillow-top ruffler or gusset workstation Pillow-Top Mitering or Taping/Mitering Machine Forms and sews the tailored or mitered corners May apply the decorative tape around the pillow-top section Some systems combine taping and mitering in one station Blindstitch Machine Attaches and closes the completed pillow-top assembly onto the mattress without leaving a prominently visible stitch line
