  2. Construction Details
    1. This press has been specially designed to be installed above floor
    2. It has a bearing structure, consisting of head, base and columns and of a pressing box which lifts up automatically
    3. The pressing ram with plate is fixed to the head, while the counter-pressing plate is fixed to the base of the press
    4. The pressing ram acts also as pre-pressing ram, with alternate motion
    5. The pressing box height is designed in order to enable the feeding up to 350 kg of fiber
    6. At each down stroke the pre-pressing ram stops at the reaching of 30/40 tons of pressure, so that a very high pressure on material can be exerted
    7. The pressing box is equipped with material retaining blades
    8. The lifting up of the box is hydraulically driven by means of two side rams provided with safety devices such as to prevent the box accidental descent
    9. The machine is provided with a horizontal loader with horizontally movable plate which pushes material inside the pressing box
    10. All necessary electric, hydraulic and mechanic safety devices are provided
  3. Operation
    1. Material is fed into the horizontal loader through the inclined double belt
    2. When the loader is full of material, there are the following operations: movement forward of the loader, down-stroke of the pre-pressing ram, stop downwards of the pre-pressing ram, up-stroke of the pre-pressing ram, return of the loader backward
    3. During the pre-pressing phase the feeding of the fiber doesn’t stop and it is stocked in the top part of the loader
    4. Once the bale weight has been reached (signal arriving from the revolutions counting of the cutter) there are the following movements: ram down-stroke up to reach the strapping height (or max. pressure), box up-stroke, manual wrapping (optional ready for automatic wrapping), manual strapping (optional ready for automatic strapping), release (top plate up-stroke)
    5. After the strapping the top pre-pressing plate moves up and the bale is collected by the fork truck and sent to the scale for the automatic weighing and labelling, and after to the storage roller conveyor (optional)
    6. The controls are located on the hydraulic power unit which, together with the electric control cabinet, is placed on the floor at the machine side
  4. Composition of the Supply

  5. Hydraulic Unit
    1. On the hydraulic power pack are installed the different electric motor/hydraulic pump groups and the valves necessary to drive all the movements of the press
    2. The main features of the hydraulic power pack are the following: tank inside walls painted with oil-proof painting
    3. A 90 microns suction filter is installed on each single pump
    4. An air filter is installed on the hydraulic central to clean the air entering the tank
    5. All filters are provided with electric and optic clogging detectors
    6. The hydraulic central is provided with an electric gauge for the oil minimum level
    7. Each pump is provided with its own max. pressure valve, manometer and thrustmeter
    8. All motors are fitted on vibration-damping supports; the connection of the suction duct of the pump is made by means of elastic joint
