Description
Overview
System sews the top hem (with or without piping) continuously, measures, cuts, folds in half and stacks the pillowcase.
Stacks are then moved to a second sewing unit.
The second machine is in the shape of an "L", meaning the product is placed on a conveying belt and passes through the first sewing station (overlock machine), then is conveyed at a right angle through a second sewing station (overlock machine) and then stacked.
At this time the unit has been formed with the face side on the inside. It is then processed through a manual turning operation.
The turned pillowcase is folded into a retail fold on a semiautomatic folding machine equipped with a label inserter.
Operation
Two operators are required: one handles the two sewing processes; the other operates the turner and folder.
Average production for the combined processes is 10 units per minute.
