Description

  1. Overview
    1. Automatic sewing system that produces a comforter bag which is then filled with batting, closed and quilted to make the finished product.
    2. Fabric from two rolls is fed through a station containing left and right hand overlock sewing machines, cut to length using a crossing rotary knife, moved by conveying system at a right angle through a second sewing station consisting of one overlock sewing machine, then stacked.
    3. Usually the bag is sewn with the face of the fabrics to the inside, then turned right side out during the filling (stuffing) operation.
    4. After filling, the open side is closed by manual sewing.

    1. Maximum fabric input width is 120 inches.
    2. Produces comforter bags for sizes twin through king.
    3. Production rate is 4 to 7 units per minute, depending upon size.
