    6. Degree of crimp (%): 25.0 ± 5.0 (test method KS K 0327)
    7. Dry shrinkage (%): 7.0 ↓ (test method KS K 0327)
    8. OPU (%): 0.950 ± 0.050 (test method KS K 0327)
  3. Advantages
    1. Higher rebound elasticity and similar resilience from compression compared to urethane foam
    2. Superb lightness and breathability
    3. Excellent recovery durability from repeated compression; elastic binder fiber with supporting fibers that keeps its tenacity, does not snap easily; resilience durability from compression is excellent due to its three-dimensional network structure
    4. Fire retardance and safety from harmful gases: does not burn easily, does not emit fume and toxic gases, does not use organic solvent
    5. Permanent product durability: urethane foam goes through yellowing and stiffening within one to two years due to isocyanides, direct sun rays, heat, gas and other factors; this system has stable properties, so yellowing, stiffening, or crumbling never occurs; it sustains permanent durability
    6. Easy washing and recyclability
    7. Optional antibacterial and deodorizing feature: can be assigned antibacterial feature in accordance with products' uses and customers' request
  4. Cautions For Heat Treatment
    1. Melting temperature (TM) is 5 to 10 °C higher than that of low melt binder (LM) which is generally used by nonwoven manufacturer
    2. Dryer temperature for binding varies according to nonwoven manufacturer's facility type or volume of e-plex; therefore, thermal bonding should be conducted at the same temperature as TM for LM in the beginning
    3. If binding does not seem strong enough, dryer temperature should be set 5 to 10 °C higher for heat treatment
    4. Final temperature of heating process should be set in consideration with hand feel of nonwoven after thermal bonding
  5. Fiber Types And Blending Notes
    1. F is fiberfill solid 15 denier
    2. HC is hollow conjugate 3 denier
    3. When blending fiber, HC has a more soft touch and lightness than F/F; rebound elasticity is a little bit, but permanent compression is better than F/F
  6. Suggested Recipes
    1. Bra pad: vertical process; 30% e-plex, 70% 3de' HC; type: vertical (STRUTO, V-LAP)
    2. Mattress (hard): roller carder process; 40% e-plex, 60% 20de' F/F; note: rebound elasticity with stiffness to touch
    3. Mattress (middle): roller carder process; 40% e-plex, 30% 20de' F/F, 30% 7de' HC; note: sensible rebound elasticity with soft stiffness
    4. Mattress (soft): roller carder process; 40% e-plex, 60% 3de' HC; note: sensible rebound elasticity with comfortable feel to touch
    5. Cushion: roller carder process; 40% e-plex, 60% 7de' HC
    6. Sofa: roller carder process; 40% e-plex, 60% 7de' HC
