Description

  1. Overview
    1. Refurbished second hand 10 hammers shredder, model SH 1500.
    2. Can be fed with heavy scrap, dump, heavy cut scrap, cut dump, pre-cut bales, and pre-cut damaged cars.
    3. Can also be fed with all domestic waste (even entire with no need to be cut), entire engines, compacted bales, and cars.
    4. Production may vary from 20 to 22 tons per hour depending on type of scrap introduced.
  2. Feeding And Operation
    1. The loading hopper is constantly maintained full of scrap with no risk of overloading; the feeding system is fully automatic as the pusher moves the material inside the chamber when the shaft is ready to accept the scrap.
    2. The cycle is performed electronically and based on working loading.
    3. The shaft works at 1000 rpm per minute, avoiding the use of big powered engines and saving money.
    4. Scrap introduced in the hopper does not need to be compressed but simply adjusted to the dimensions of the shredding chamber; this operation is automatically undertaken at time of feeding.
  3. Hydraulic And Safety System
    1. The plant is equipped with a hydraulic system, manually operated to permit operators to undertake proper maintenance such as change of hammers (in about 3-4 hours) and check the status of internal lines subject to wearing.
    2. In case of an unexpected stop during performance caused by a tough block of scrap, the shaft is immediately stopped by an adequate safety system operated by the hydraulic clutch.
    3. In such cases, the diesel engine (240 hp) still turns while the hydraulic clutch sensors, with the hydraulic oil inside quite hot, vent out, letting the oil drain out and stopping the shaft immediately.
    4. After refilling hydraulic oil, positioning new sensors, and removing the blocking piece by accessing the grid through hydraulic systems, the shredder can restart its operation safely.

    3. With above machines the customer can continue cutting scrap having a length of 15-16 metres due to the inclinable jib (extension of the loading hopper) having a thickness of even respectively 240 mm to 260 mm for round bars and about 220-230 mm for square bars.
    4. The cut can be adjusted in 4 different positions depending on foundries requirements (38 cm, 58 cm, 78 cm, 98 cm).
    5. The machine has 4 hydraulic stabilizers to stabilize the machine in reference to the ground (no need to have the shear laid down on a cement or metallic platform).
    6. The customer can even increase the speed of the cut material at the exit.
