Drum Body
Built with the best tropical hard wood, naturally seasoned for more than two years, perfectly manufactured so all parts facing the hides/skins are smooth and rounded to avoid rubbing.
Composed of staves, ends and crossbars in glue-lam; pegs of the same high quality of wood.
Exterior-frame made with solid corners, bolted between crown and wooden body, to ensure structural rigidity also with very heavy loads, and longitudinal tie rods.
Hot galvanized carbon steel hoops, fitted with rolled pressure threaded parts and complete of hot galvanized carbon steel hoop connectors with clamping bolts. The extremity of the hoops is protected by plastic material to prevent oxidation and labor accident.
Metal Equipment
Crown with 6 arms Z237 M12, axle Ø260 mm, passing through hole Ø168 mm protected by PVC pipe and made of carbon steel.
Spider with 6 arms axle Ø260 mm, passing through hole Ø168 mm protected by PVC pipe; made of carbon steel.
All bolts with head in carbon steel RILSAN coated and bolt leg in carbon steel.
No. 2 support units, for axle Ø260 mm, self-aligning on spherical base and protected by cover. Contact material in special antifriction bronze.
Drive Unit
Moto-gear-box coaxial in line with self-breaking motor type, allowing speed from 3.0 rpm (25 Hz) to 6.0 rpm (50 Hz) and complete of:
Electrical motor of 37 kW at 4 poles, volts 400/50 Hz (suitable to be controlled by frequency converter).
Coaxial gear-box with gears in hardened steel.
Electromagnetic brake with disc in high friction material.
Metal rails for positioning and for adjustment of tensioning.
Pinion in bronze material with steel core.
Control Equipment
Electro-pneumatic power cabinet in stainless steel, completely sealed with IP 55 protection, equipped with master switch, power and auxiliary fuses, contactors, thermal protection, brake control and PLC for timing control and automatic cycles stop, volts 400/50 Hz.
Electronic device frequency converter for speed variation of the motor and for smooth and controlled starting of the drum. The frequency converter is fitted inside the electro-pneumatic power cabinet and is cooled in proper way for smooth operation. Filter EMC and braking resistance included.
Control panel in plastic material, completely sealed with IP 55 protection, equipped with push-buttons, indicator lamp. Auxiliary voltage 24 volts.
