Description

  1. Overview
    1. Pc-controlled foam ild-ifd tester in compliance with customer specification as provided.
    2. Utilizes a variable speed dc drive lead-screw actuator and a load cell to provide required speeds and loads for ild (now ifd) testing.
    3. Internal linear position potentiometer sensor allows programmed tests to operate automatically, moving to required positions as required.
    4. Automatic version, pc based.
  2. Specifications
    1. All standard bench-top h-frame models have 28 in between columns and 24 1/2 in front to rear working space with astm vent holes.
    2. Standard stroke is 8, but more is available up to 36.
    3. Space between actuator of 28 in for sample placement.
    4. Standard 203 mm diameter indenter.
    5. Astm 203 mm indenter disc on a universal joint is included.
    6. Many other indenters are available.
    7. Please specify load cell size(s) up to 1,000 lbs.
    8. Ability to apply a force of up to 1,000 pounds (1,000 pound load cell included).
    9. Ability to apply a force to compress a constant distance.
    10. Ability to modify existing programming to apply a constant ± 2% force for up to 24 hours, but data collection rate will drop from 50 points per second.
    11. Utilities: 115 vac electrical power only.
  3. Software And Testing Capabilities
    1. Custom-written software allows easy test setup and manipulation of test variables for each sample.
    2. Pre-programmed to run astm d3574 tests b1 and b2.
    3. Can be equipped to do tests e and f with the tension option.
    4. Can also do the force deflection portion of tests i1, i2, and i3 as required.
    5. Operators are able to create and modify new test setups as needed.
    6. Fully automatic programming capability.
    7. Data collection at a rate of 50 data points per second for standard astm programs.
    8. Real time display of position and load on the screen.
  4. Condition And Warranty
    1. Calibration: system is calibrated but accuracy cannot be certified; technical assistance provided; cost of outside calibration not included.
    2. Warranty: one year warranty for defects in manufacturing and software; purchased component warranties passed along with their respective length of warranty.

    1. Timing: 6 – 8 weeks to complete options and design requirements.
