  2. General Frame And Drive
    1. General frame composed by modules, with standard dimensions, in welded steel and painted by four coats of paint.
    2. General drive: whole machine driven and controlled by servo motors; all parameters can be set on touch screen (if customer chooses full servo machine).
  3. Conveyor Belt System
    1. Under vacuum belts, allowed along the machine, are provided to pull and to drive the web.
    2. A special valve is provided to adjust the vacuum level under the belt.
  4. Automatic Quality Control System
    1. Includes hardware and software for automatic control of sanitary napkin parameters: joints of raw material, empty package.
    2. The machine will be stopped automatically when raw material breaks.
    3. If sanitary napkins do not meet preset parameters, faulty products will be automatically rejected through the second reject gate.
  5. Pulp Unwinding Support
    1. 2 rolls of cellulose pulp, max diameter 1400 mm and width 508 mm including water spray system are allowed on the pulp stand to feed mill.
  6. High Speed Cell Mill
    1. Specially studied for untreated pulp.
    2. Power consumption according to productivity of the mill and controlled by servo motor to guarantee constant quality at different machine speeds.
    3. Air flow through the mill is carefully studied to control fluff outlet and fluff distribution on the forming area.
  7. Sap Applicator
    1. SAP (super absorbent polymers), in powder form, is inserted into the pad by means of a blowing system.
    2. SAP is applied in the center of the fluff pad.
    3. SAP weight on each pad can be adjusted and controlled with the speed of the screw drive (or the drum drive).
  8. Drum Forming Module
    1. Single drum forming module installed on the line.
    2. Fluff chamber directly connected to the high speed cell mill installed on the top of the module.
    3. Take away system to pick and compact the fluff layer.
  9. Raw Material Unwinding Units
    1. Full automatic unwinding modules are allowed in line to drive and control tension of central N.W., side N.W., ADL, tissue, PE film and sachet wrapping film.
    2. Each unit provided by servo motor to unwind through spindle shaft, alternatively two rolls of raw material and a splice equipment to joint and cut the starting and finishing roll.
    3. Web guiding units: central N.W. 1 set, side N.W. 3 sets, ADL 1 set, tissue 1 set, PE film 1 set and sachet wrapping film 1 set, total 8 sets.
    4. Automatic tension controls and flying splicers and web guiding units for main raw materials (central N.W., side N.W., ADL, tissue, PE film and sachet wrapping film).
  10. Tissue Unwinding And Wrapping Unit (Fluff Pulp Product)
    1. Applies tissue paper to wrap fluff core, including tissue paper unwinding, splicer and conveyor belt.
  11. Fluff Core Cutting Unit
    1. Fluff core cut by standard cutter.
  12. Channel Embossing Unit
    1. Embosses the fluff core products according to the pattern chosen by the customer.
  13. Contour Sealing Unit
    1. Seals the product according to the pattern chosen by the customer.
  14. Shaping Cutting Unit
    1. Shapes the sanitary napkins and removes the scraps.
    2. Uses a hardened rotary die, with a shape according to the product, pressed against an anvil to cut the product in between while scrap is removed by suction fan.
    3. Rotary die is driven and controlled by a servo motor, manually operated, to reach correct positioning of the shape on the product.
  15. 180° Rotating Unit
    1. Turns the sanitary napkins to have the back sheet on the bottom side.
  16. Wing Silicon Paper Application And Wing Folding
    1. Wings are folded over the PE film; a silicon paper is applied that fixes both wings together to keep them in a fixed position.
    2. Unit composed by rotating knife and under-vacuum anvil driven and controlled by a servo motor, manually operated, to cut and apply the tape always on the same position as per the product design.
  17. 90 Degrees Turning Unit
    1. Composed by a drum holding several turning elements.
    2. Picks the napkin arriving in the machine direction and releases it, after one complete revolution of the drum, turned by 90 degrees, so napkins continue to run in cross direction along the machine.
  18. Wrapping And Folding Unit
    1. Sanitary napkins, once in cross position, are repitched by a mechanical device and stuck on the pre-glued poly film arriving from the bottom side of the machine.
    2. When poly film and sanitary napkins are moving together as a uniform body, it is folded in three parts to have a closed and continuous web.
  19. Closure Tape Applicator
    1. On the closed web a small tape is applied in a position corresponding to the napkin center, to keep the single bag closed and to facilitate its opening when used.
  20. Cross Cut / Sealing Unit
    1. Receives the continuous web with the folded sanitary napkins and seals it in between two sanitary napkins.
  21. Reject Gate
    1. Located before the twist belts to drive the napkin to the stacker and operated by compressed air jet.
    2. Controlled by the central PLC or by means of a button for manual operation to assure automatic reject of faulty napkins.
  22. Pneumatics, Electronics, Safety And Other Components
