  3. Technical Description
    1. Basic adult diaper machine mod. “DH105”.
    2. The standard machine is composed by the following main parties with the characteristics as described on the present technical description.
  4. General Frame
    1. Composed by modules, with standard dimensions, in welded steel, painted by four coats of paint.
  5. General Drive
    1. Main motor inverter control and mechanical transmission with differential gear boxes, cardon and timing belt.
    2. SAP and fluff application are controlled by independent motors, inverter controlled, and the value can be set and displayed on the touch screen.
  6. Conveyor Belt System
    1. Under vacuum belts, allowed along the machine, are provided to pull and to drive the web.
    2. A special valve is provided to adjust the vacuum level under the belt.
  7. Raw Material Unwinding Units
    1. Full automatic unwinding modules are allowed in line in order to drive and to control the tension of: back-sheet, back sheet NW, central NW, cuff NW, ADL.
    2. Each of these units is driven and controlled by variable frequencies motors to unwind through the spindle shaft, alternatively, the two rolls of raw material and a splice equipment to join and cut the starting and the finishing roll.
    3. A dancer, a metering device and an edge guiding unit complete each unwinding module.
    4. 1 set for side NW before splitting, 2 sets for side NW after splitting; 1 set for central NW.
    5. 1 set for back sheet, 1 set for frontal tape, 1 set for cloth-like lamination, 1 set for ADL, 1 set for waist band, 1 set for backsheet NW.
    6. Totally 10 sets web guiders equipped on the machine.
  8. Automatic Quality Control System
    1. This system includes hardware and software for an automatic control of the following diaper parameters: fluff missing, frontal tape missing, fasten tape missing, leg and cuff elastic missing, diapers reject at every line start-up, presence of raw material cutoffs.
    2. If diapers do not meet the preset parameters, the faulty product will be automatically rejected through the reject gate.
  9. Pulp Unwinding Support (2 Sets)
    1. 2 rolls of cellulose pulp, max diameter 1400 mm and width 508 mm, including water spray system, are allowed on the pulp stand to feed mill.
    2. A pulp unwinding support is prepared for each set of mill.
  10. Drum Forming Module
    1. Two drum formers are installed on the machine with interval pockets forming, to produce a pad in accordance to the customer needs.
    2. Fluff chamber directly connected to the high speed cell mill installed on the top of the module for each drum former.
    3. Take away system to pick up and to compact the fluff layer are part of the module.
    4. The conveyor belt, already conveying the glued back sheet, receives the fluff and moves it to the next station.
  11. High Speed Cell Mill
    1. The mill, specially studied for untreated pulp.
    2. The power consumption is according to the productivity of the mill and controlled by inverter to guarantee constant quality at different speed of the machine.
    3. Air through the mill is carefully studied in order to control the fluff outlet and the fluff distribution on the forming area.
    4. A high speed cell mill is installed for each drum former independently.
  12. SAP Applicator (3 Sets)
    1. The SAP (super absorbent polymers), in powder form, is inserted into the pad by means of a blowing system.
    2. The SAP is applied in the middle of the fluff pad.
    3. SAP weight on each pad can be adjusted on touch screen and controlled with the speed of the screw drive.
  13. Frontal Tape Applicator
    1. Based on the principle of a vacuum wheel and including unwinding stand for self-adhesive frontal tape rolls.
    2. The unit is driven by the main transmission through a differential gear box controlled by an ac-motor, manually operated, to reach a correct positioning of tapes on the product.
    3. On line gluing equipment is included and supplied with the machine.
  14. Tape Tabs Applicators
    1. Based on the principle of a vacuum wheel including unwinding stand for self-adhesive tape rolls “one piece”.
    2. When request, unwinding stand for release tape and system for combining the tape and release tape in order to assemble 2 tape pieces.
    3. The unit is driven by the main transmission through a differential gear box controlled by an ac-motor, manually operated, to reach a correct positioning of tapes on the product.
    4. The applicator is equipped by a system to fold and to detect the presence and the correct position of the tape.
  15. Lycra Or Elastic Treads Unwinding Units
    1. These units are allowed directly on the machine wall and driven by two independent inverter motors.
    2. One for standing leg gathers elastic, and one for the left and right leg elastic.
  16. Up-Standing Leg Gathers (Cuffs) Applicator
    1. This unit has been designed to apply two longitudinal nonwoven strips on nonwoven and includes: nonwoven unwinding module equipped with splicer, edge guiding system and automatic tension control, slitter blade to divide into two strips the nonwoven.
    2. Mechanical systems to guide strips before they are fixed on the nonwoven/coverstock.
    3. Elastic feeding unit for the application.
    4. Nonwoven folding system.
    5. Glue application to stick elastics onto the nonwoven.
    6. Pulling and pressing station to close the nonwoven around the elastic treads.
    7. A double thermo-sealing unit is installed on the unit for the longitudinal sealing and for the touch down sealing of the cuffs on the coverstock.
  17. Shaping Unit
    1. This unit shapes the diaper and removes the scraps.
    2. The unit uses a hardened rotary die, with a shape according to the product that pressed against an anvil cut the product in between while the scrap is removed.
