Description Overview Waukesha engine-generator, natural gas 500 kW, 1200 rpm, 60 Hz, 480 VAC 410 kW, 1100 rpm, 50 Hz, 400 VAC Continuous duty application 2001 vintage VHP3521GSI, low compression engine, 8.1:1 Approximately 16,000 hours since new Alternator Leroy Somers back end alternator, MTG 636, 105 temp rise, above 40 deg C Condition Unit was bore scoped and looks good Oil tank – grey Silencer and exhaust flexible connection KPC did the “top end overhaul” including: Full service and repair of heads Radiator clean, flushed, and repaired New set of spark plugs, ignition coils, and spark plug extension New set of radiator belts Service and repair of water pumps New set of air and oil filters Service of turbo charger – as needed New Gill ignition system Load bank test, 100% for one hour Painted, ready to go Alternator Service Back end alternator was serviced, including: Disassemble, steam clean, and inspect generator 16 point bearing and housing inspection performed AWA Testing on stator, rotor, exciter rotor, exciter fields, and re-insulated Check shaft run out, measure and record shaft bearing fits Dynamically balance rotor Install new ball bearings Lubricate and assemble generator
