Superba, TVP 1S, 1989, Heat Set Line, 9m Tunnel, with Mat Accumulator

  1. Overview
    1. Superba heat line E was installed during the plant expansion in 1989 (Superba nameplate shows year 1989).
    2. The equipment in this manufacturing plant was shut down in the October-November time frame, year 2014.
    3. The line has been updated several times over the past few years, including the addition of a 24 spindle Belmont autodoff winder and Superba mat accumulator.
    4. Electrics are 480 volts / 3 phase / 60 Hz.
  2. Equipment Included
    1. 24 running and Epic creel (the Epic creel is constructed so the yarn posts can be rotated out for placing full twisted packages in the creel with the least amount of labor).
    2. Line entrance with operator panel and Superba coiler.
    3. Three meter Superba pre-steamer.
    4. Superba entrance cooling fan.
    5. Tunnel entrance.
    6. Two meter entrance cooling section.
    7. Nine meter heat set section with CBS steam circulation.
    8. Two meter exit cooling section.
    9. Yarn take off system to accumulator.
    10. Superba mat accumulator.
    11. 24 spindle Belmont autodoff winder with tube take-up (the Belmont winder has three conveyors to deliver heat set yarn packages to a pack out area).
    12. Superba tunnel controls for temperature, pressure, etc.
    13. Line electrical system.
    14. Three inverters control coiler speed, but belt speed and yarn take off system separate inverters controls the mat accumulator and winder speed.
    15. All electrics are 480 volts / 3 phase / 60 Hz.
    16. Hydraulic system to control roll pressure of nip rollers at tunnel entrance and tunnel exit.
