Calender and Singer, Custom-Made, Width 2500 mm – Built Together
Calender: custom built, 2500 mm, one with two 2 in pneumatic cylinders (there is one heated 8 in diameter roller that presses against the 24 in diameter heated roll and it uses two pneumatic cylinders to create the clamping force that gives you the tonnage; two 4 in double acting air cylinders will yield one ton of pressure)
Electrically-heated oil is a reservoir heated with electrical rods and a circulating pump pumps the hot oil to the two cylinders
Roll diameter: 24 in heated roll (oil), 8 in top pressure roll
Configuration of rolls: steel-steel
Singer: custom built, 90 in width, two different burners (one natural gas for light singe of polyester, polypropylene; one propane for aramid)
With B.F. Perkins dual element hot oil heating unit (electric)
Both calender and singer in one, same machine; no tenter frame
