  5. Electrical Cabinets
    1. Electronics are housed in two separate cabinets.
    2. The first is the lower backside of the machine housing the PLC.
    3. The second is the HMI touch screen assembled on an articulated support with unlimited viewing positions.
    4. Both are made of stainless steel.
  6. Dual Film Reel Unwind
    1. Floor level, stainless steel film reel unwind mandrels for easy loading from trolley or by hand.
    2. Each film reel mandrel includes pneumatic bladder operated from touch screen.
    3. Due to its rugged design, it is very resistant to physical abuse.
    4. This group is independently motorized and synchronized with the compensating rollers that automatically send a signal for unwinding.
    5. Film pull speed is controlled by frequency drive controller.
  7. Automatic Film Splicer
    1. Patented design.
    2. This group splices two film reels without stopping the machine, by means of double-sided tape.
    3. The double removable jaw system allows the preparation of the new film reel while the other one is being used.
    4. The automatic mechanism splices one film reel with the other and rejects automatically the pouches with the adhesive type.
  8. Entry Rollers
    1. This group contains numerous rollers and a compensation arm providing smooth controlled speed of film to insure constant tension of film at high speeds.
    2. All rollers are assembled on needle bearings.
  9. Gusset Bottom Perforator Punches
    1. This group makes the two holes in the pouch gusset area at the center of the film web.
    2. It consists of two punch die units that are pneumatically actuated with a waste extraction system.
    3. The punch position is precisely controlled via photo-eye that sends a signal to the punches through the PLC.
    4. The physical spacing and positioning for new pouch formats is easily adjusted manually, or a motorized auto-adjust upgrade is available for an additional charge.
  10. Forming Plow To Create Gusset
    1. Built of stainless steel, this compact yet accessible design allows reduced footprint and adds stability to the film forming process.
    2. Height adjustment of the gusset is done manually via a screw spindle with no need to change any tooling.
  11. Automatic Film Alignment
    1. This patented system uses a servo motor that is synchronized to the film advance servo in the knife cut off group.
    2. It corrects any left or right deviation of the film through the use of two sensors that monitor the top edge of the front and rear panel of the pouch.
  12. Parallel Bottom And Vertical Sealing
    1. Parallel actuated sealing bars for consistent pressure over the length of the seal area.
    2. Patented heating system allows for constant pressure and reliable seals over the edges of the pouch.
    3. Actuation of bars is achieved via double roller cam with double safety spring in comparison to traditional single cams and single large springs.
    4. Pressure regulation is easily achieved from the front of the machine.
    5. The displacement of the sealing heads is individually motorized for easier changeover.
  13. Stand Up Pouch Vertical And Bottom Sealing Plates
    1. With the basic machine are included three sets of sealing plates, (= 6 plates), with their corresponding electrical heaters and individual temperature probes for each sealer.
    2. Width to be confirmed by customer.
  14. Vertical And Bottom Cooling Plates
    1. Use an internal water circuit that can be connected to a water chiller (water chiller not included) or customer’s own central cooling system.
  15. Photoelectric Cell
    1. Photoelectric cell is included for positioning of printed film and can be positioned on front, or back of package depending upon position of registration mark.
  16. Servo Film Advance
    1. Synchronized with the photo-eye, the film feed pinch rollers are driven by a servo motor to advance the film the precise index to ensure an accurate knife cut off inside the side seal of the pouch.
    2. Motion can be adjusted for a smooth acceleration and deceleration to ensure correct film tension and avoid wrinkles in the film.
  17. Scissors
    1. Scissors are actuated via double roller cam with double safety spring for more reliable cutting.
    2. Scissors are a double blade type and incorporate modular disassembly to eliminate potential incorrect adjustment of pivot point.
    3. Extra set of scissor blades are included with machine.
  18. Pouch Opening
    1. Mechanical grippers with vacuum cups are used to open the pouch and are adjustable for different sachet sizes.
    2. Grippers are mounted at top of pouch for maximum opening distance.
    3. Adjustment is made from the front of the machine.
    4. Vacuum is provided via internal vacuum motor.
