Barmag, PET Tire Yarn Spinning Machines, 2003-2007, 15000 Tons/Year Capacity, 1100-2200 dtex

Description

  1. Overview
    1. Pet tire yarn spinning machines for high modulus low shrinkage yarn.
    2. Machines installed from 2003 to 2007: one in 2003, three in 2005, and the last one in 2007.
    3. Well maintained until the last day of production in September 2008.
    4. Since then, machines have been standing idle in a temperature- and humidity-controlled environment to keep them well-conditioned.
    5. Maximum capacity of one spinning machine is 2500 tons/year; total capacity of six machines is 15,000 tons/year.
    6. Pet tire yarn can be produced with a linear density in the range of 1100 dtex up to 2200 dtex.
  2. Former Yarn Types Produced
    1. Former type 2642T: high modulus low shrinkage yarn, market standard, non-adhesion activated (non-AA).
    2. Former type 1242T: high modulus low shrinkage yarn, market standard, adhesion activated (AA).
  3. Machine Layout And Engineering
    1. Engineering suppliers: Barmag (extruder: extruder screw, spinneret, quench system, finish application); TMT (godets, winder); Viba Siat (spinning box, draw panel).
    2. All six spinning machines are situated on three floors (ground floor, first, and second); space between each floor is 6 meters.
    3. Each spinning machine has its own bunker and hopper; the process is fed with post-condensed, dried PET polymer.
    4. No dryer or post-condensation unit are included.
    5. Five spinning machines are equipped with a Barmag 120 mm diameter extruder of type 12E10\24D; one with a Barmag 120 mm diameter extruder of type 12E10\30D.
    6. Each extruder feeds two spinning boxes; each spinning box has one spinning pump for three spinning positions.
    7. Quenching is cross flow in combination with rectangular spinnerets.
    8. Set-up of the upper part of one spinning machine: one bunker, one hopper, one extruder, two spinning boxes/pumps, six quench boxes (one quench box for each yarn).
    9. The lower part of a spinning machine is split into two drawing-relaxation-winding parts for three yarns each.
    10. From the quench box, the undrawn yarn goes via a tube and spin finish applicator to a godet duo for fixing the spinning speed.
    11. Set-up of the draw/relaxation field: three godet duos and a position to apply adhesion activator (AA) on the yarn.
    12. Maximum godet speed is 7000 m/min.
    13. At the end, the three yarns are wound on a 3-tube winder; maximum speed of the winders is 6200 m/min.
    14. One spinning machine has six spinning positions, the yarn being produced on two drawing panels with a winding head for three yarns each.
  4. Condition
    1. Machines have been well maintained until the last day of production in September 2008.
    2. Since then, machines have been standing idle in a temperature- and humidity-controlled environment to keep them well-conditioned.
  5. Included
    1. Six spinning machines as described.
    1. Machines are situated on three floors (ground floor, first, and second).
