  3. Shearing Unit Composition
    1. Heavy frames, firmly cross-braced
    2. Turning rollers
    3. Positively driven brake roller allowing to apply the requested tension during the shearing process
  4. Polishing Unit
    1. Located before the shearing cylinder
    2. Cylinder made out of special material, carefully machined and buffed, dynamically balanced
    3. Outside of cylinder furrowed with 4 grooves: 2 opposite ones with right hand twist and 2 opposite ones with left hand twist
    4. Grooves fitted with hardened steel helicoidal blades
    5. Motor and frequency inverter drive the cylinder
    6. Speed adjusted by rotating the regulator on the control panel, adjustable between 0 and 800 rpm
    7. Heated by steam
    8. Thermometer with automatic adjusting keeps constant the wanted and selected temperature for the cylinder between 0 °C and 150 °C
    9. Special endless belt, automatically guided and driven by roller, leads velvets to the polishing cylinder
    10. Working pressure of belt on cylinder adjustable by pneumatic cylinders
    11. System gives a wide range of adjustments by combining pressure of belt on cylinder, tension of belt, length of contact of fabric on cylinder, rotation and temperature of cylinder
    12. Fitted with a special automatic system for separating the velvet from the polishing unit when feeding of the machine is stopped
    13. When restarting, tension and pressure systems take again their selected positions
  5. Nylon Brush and Shearing Unit
    1. Cylinder of big diameter fitted with 24 first quality German spiral blades, specially designed for shearing of velvets, running on special oscillating ball-bearings
    2. Heavy blade-carrier with very strong jaws to hold the ledger-blade without vibration
    3. Blade-carrier fitted with adjustable bridge to adjust pressure of blade on shearing cylinder
    4. Ledger-blade of new quality SP 4 for shearing of velvets
    5. Special dust collector allowing easy inspection and cleaning of pipes
    6. Electro-hydraulic lifting device of shearing system for passage of seams, making lifting operation extremely easy
    7. Worker can drive machine with one hand by moving a lever to lift shearing system up or down
    8. By pushing a function key on the touch screen control panel, same electro-hydraulic system allows total lifting of cylinder for easy access to ledger-blade for inspection or grinding without any effort or dismantling
    9. Special prismatic bed for velvets, vertically adjustable, delivered with special upper-part for shearing velvets
    10. Adjustment of cutting height of shearing system on all width realized by function keys on touch screen control panel
    11. Digital index on touch screen (precision 2/100th of mm) shows millimetric height of fabric pile and allows similar and certain shearing of different productions at different times
  6. Blade Maintenance and Grinding
    1. Patented grinding device for blades with manual shifting, combined with electro-hydraulic lifting device of cylinder
    2. Allows grinding the ledger blade and/or the spirals (before sharpening) strictly parallel with the table
    3. No dismantling needed; worker does not need to be specialized; fabric remains in the machine
    4. Device to lubricate the greasing felt of the cylinder guarantees a long cutting life to shearing system by regular lubrication of spirals and ledger-blades
    5. Automatic device allows worker to focus on machine running without unceasingly lubricating felts
    6. Warning signal on touch screen control panel lights when tank is empty; fill with right oil without stopping the machine
  7. Drive and Speed
    1. Draw roller driven by motor and frequency inverter giving a final drive of 4 to 30 m/min
  8. Optional Glazing Unit (Not Included)
    1. Steam heated glazing unit to be installed at the rear of the shearing machine, positively driven
    2. Thanks to 2 special adjustable turning rollers, length of contact between velvet and glazing cylinder can always be adjusted by hand-wheel
    3. Design can entirely separate velvet and cylinder
    4. Turning roller mounted in special bearers, pneumatically driven by adjustable pressure device, pressure reducer and pressure gauge
    5. Device combined with heating cylinder quickly gives wanted thermo-fixation of pile, more or less bent and well glazed according to process
  9. Delivery and Compensator
    1. Velvet led by turning roller to the delivery of the shearing machine with a compensator to adjust speed with next machine
  10. Machine Protection and Electrical
    1. Machine entirely protected; all control parts well-protected but easily accessible thanks to large doors
    2. General use of bearings needing no lubrication; only some special bearings have to be lubricated
    3. Different electrical equipments with thermic or magneto-thermic protection supplied and twisted into a control-cabinet with AC cooling
    4. Doors can only be opened when electric feeding is cut out
