NovaStar, MC202, Flex Durability Tester, 4 Test Stations, 45 cycles/min, 280x200mm Sample Size (New)

Description

  1. Overview
    1. Used to measure the resistance against repetitive strain for films, composites and coating films.
    2. Flex failure is determined by measuring pinholes formed in the sample structure.
    3. Also known as Gelboflex.
    4. Standard: ASTM F392 “Flex durability of flexible barrier materials”.
    5. Sample size is attached to flex tester mandrels.
    6. Flexing action consists of twisting motion combined with horizontal motion (compression), repeatedly twisting and crushing the film.
    7. Test setup gives twisting motion of 440° in the first 90 mm of the stroke and is followed by a straight horizontal motion of 65 mm.
