Originally installed in 1979, with major upgrades and refurbishment in 1988, 2000, 2004 to 2008, and 2010 to 2012.
Utilises 130 mm x 130 mm x 12 m (1.5 t) billet producing wire rod (5.0 to 23 mm) and garret (bar in coil) from 24 to 32 mm.
Has a reputation for producing top quality product from a range of steel grades including spring steel, cold heading steel, high carbon steels and welding materials.
