Spray tower: With built-in glass spray nozzles inside the spray tube, the spray is dispensed into the machine testing body through cone shape dispensers from tubes.
Spray adjuster: Adjust the quantity of spray by increasing or decreasing it. The preheating tank of salt water is at the bottom of the spray tower. Its salt water is injected into the tank from a refill bottle. The water level is controlled by a float ball automatically. A drain outlet for cleaning is stuck by a silicone cork at the bottom of the tank.
Collector: The spray from the spray nozzles will fall into an 80 cm² v-shape container in free fall way and will be led to a measure cup by tube.
Wet-bulb cup: The l-shape container is a water container when applying humidity.
Rack: The rack is made of plastic-steel. The maximum rack load shall be 2 kg for a single loading point or 10 kg for scattered loading points. On both sides of the rack there are two rows of holes which enable the angle between the rack supporters and the vertical surface to vary from 15° to 30°.
Filter: Ensure the nozzle not to be blocked by impurities by filtering them out from the salt water.
Water-heater tank: Located at the bottom of the machine testing body, the tank is to keep a stable humidity and temperature by heating or preserving water filled in it.
Components Outside The Machine Testing Body
Wet and dry bulb thermometer: Measuring the humidity and temperature of the machine testing body (see figure a4 and a5).
Measure pail: Collect the spray of each testing, with 50 ml as its graduation.
Water-sealed tank: Seal the salt spray inside by water.
Saturated air pail: Located at the bottom of the controlling box and made by stainless steel sus#304, the pail is to make the air inside reach saturated humidity before spraying by heating and humidifying the pail.
Salt-water refilling bottle: Refill the salt water in the preheating tank of salt water automatically (see figure a11).
Machine testing body top: A roof-like transparent top with 100° angle which covers the machine testing body and unifies it.
Pressure adjusting valve: Adjust the pressure inside the machine testing body (see b4) according to the pressure gauge (testing pressure: 1 kg/cm²).
Pressure gauge: It shows the pressure of the air from the saturated-air pail to the nozzle (testing pressure: 1 kg/cm²).
Vent pipe: Exhaust the spray outdoors with a pipe of 2½ diameters. No water shall be accumulated and the spray is exhausted in a natural way (see figure b6).
Drain outlet: Drain the sewage to gutters with a pipe of ½ diameter (see figure b8).
Water inlet: Refill the water to normal level in the machine testing body saturating pail automatically (see figure a12).
Controlling System
Temperature control in the machine testing body: Control the temperature in the machine testing body according to standards in which salt water test is 35 °C and corrosion-resistant test is 50 °C.
Temperature controller of saturated-air pail: Control the temperature of saturated-air pail according to standards in which salt water test is 47 °C and corrosion-resistant test is 63 °C.
Timer: Set testing time from 0.1 s to 9999 hr and stop the machine when the time expires.
Time accumulator: It shows the total machine working hours in testings within the range of 0-9999.9 hr.
Temperature controller of water-heater tank: Control the temperature of water-heater tank. The controller shall work with the controller of the machine testing body and shall be adjusted when the surrounding temperatures vary a lot. The controller can be set in the controlling box.
Salt water spray test: 35 °C for machine testing body controller and 47 °C (40 °C-50 °C) for saturated-air pail controller.
Corrosion-resistant test: 50 °C for machine testing body controller and 65 °C (60 °C-70 °C) for saturated-air pail controller.
Safe temperature controller of saturated-air pail: A protective device of saturated-air pail and the safe temperature value shall be set as 5 °C above the real one (inside the controlling box).
Power switch: Illuminated rocker switch. Control the mains of the whole machine.
Operational switch: Illuminated rocker switch. Control the water-heater tank and the heater system of saturated-air pail.
Timer switch: Illuminated rocker switch. Control the power of timer.
Spray switch: Illuminated rocker switch. Control the spray system.
Defogger switch: Illuminated rocker switch type. Control the defogger system and get rid of the salt spray inside the box.
Over-heat alarm indicator: The light will be turned on and the power will be off when the temperature of the heater tank is over 65 °C.
Insufficient salt water alarm indicator: The light will be turned on and the operation will be stopped when the water level of preheating tank of salt water is lower than the limit.
Time’s up indicator: The light will be turned on and the machine will be stopped automatically when time’s up according to the timer.
Left insufficient water alarm indicator: The light will be turned on and the power will be off when the water level of heater tank is lower than the limit.
Right insufficient water alarm indicator: The light will be turned on and the power will be off when the water level of saturating pail is lower than the limit.
Instruction For Installation
Power: 220 V, single phase 15 A.
The machine shall be placed with 50 cm space against a wall and thus reserve space for maintenance.
Please install another no-fuse breaker or knife switch (about 16-25 A) (see figure 2) before the power cable if the machine foreign cable is 2.5 mm² main power cable. The black cable is the power for air-pressure machine. Please connect it to the switch of the air-pressure machine (see figure b1). The air-pressure pipe shall be connected to the inlet valve in front of the air-pressure machine (see figure b3).
The drain pipe can be hard pipe pvc ½. Make sure the pipe is downward. The vent pipe should be hard pipe pvc 2½. Make sure the pipe is extending to outdoors. Install the vent pipe downward and parallel to the machine.
Do not install the machine in the sun or it may affect the testing conditions.
Do not install the machine near other electrical applicants, instruments and inflammable goods in case of danger.
Do not hit the machine forcefully since it is made of pvc plastics. Do not overheat the machine or it will be distorted.
Instruction For Operation
Connect the power cable and air pressure pipe to the back of the machine.
Connect the water pipe to the inlet of the machine so the automatic water refilling mode can function. If no water supply pipe, please set the machine to be manual water refilling mode. Notice: Cover the machine testing body with top gently.
The installation of drain pipe and vent pipe shall be finished as shown in the previous page.
Fill water in the water-sealed tank to the pad level. Mix testing fluid ingredients proportionally. Mix method: Test if the ph of 9.5 liter purified distilled water is between 6.5 and 7.2. If the ph is higher than 7.2, add a little glacial acetic acid. If the ph is lower than 6.5, add a little sodium hydroxide (usually the purified water is applied so there is no need to measure b and c clauses). Add 500 g sodium chloride (nacl) and mix well.
Pall the salt water into salt water refilling bottle, then the water will be filled into the preheating tank inside the machine testing body automatically. The water will be filled into the preheating tank of salt water which is 15 liter for economical one and 30 for standard one.
Add water into the wet-bulb cup. Wrap the wet bulb.
