  1. Overview
    1. Designed to cut an accurate square-foot sample of heavy paper board, such as 42-pound and 69-pound kraft, bleached kraft, pulp, or multi-ply cylinder board.
    2. Customers have advised that the machine will cut 16 sheets of 42-pound liner and 10 sheets of 69-pound liner.
    3. The machine cannot slip or vary sizes of the sample to be cut, as the sheets to be trimmed are held firmly in place until released.
    4. One of these machines installed in your mill will insure accurately-sized samples and remove the question of weight adjustments due to error of sample accuracy.
    5. The Model B saves time as well as assuring accuracy.
    6. The machine has been in use for years in paper mills where samples are cut every thirty minutes and sample measurements must be exactly 12” square.
  2. Specifications
    1. The index plate turns with the sheet to a slotted opening in the base.
    2. The plate is protected against wear by the use of especially-hardened steel.
    3. The index plate that holds the sheet firmly in place works on a strong spring which forces rigid contact with the plate as it turns.
    4. It is fitted with a ball-bearing, thus insuring easy operation at all times.
    5. This cutting device is a right-angle operation, attached to the stationary base plate, is simple in construction, and is easily removed for sharpening.
    6. The knife has attached to it a safety device to keep it from dropping and endangering the operator.
    7. The knife will stay sharp for several months, even with constant use.
