Description

  1. Overview
    1. Klieverik hot melt lamination line
    2. Working width 1800 mm
    3. Year 2000
  2. Laminating Process With Thermoplastic Adhesive Powder
    1. Adhesion between laminated substrates can be obtained using thermoplastic adhesives (polyolefin, polyester, co-polyester, co-polyamides, TPU and specialty blend polymers) in the form of films, webs or powders, easily sourced from global suppliers.
    2. The process is a dry process allowing product changeovers within minutes.
    3. Laminating with thermoplastic adhesive powder requires a production line equipped with a powder scattering device (PSD), installed in front of the calender to scatter the semiadhesive powder equally over the material.
    4. Optional is an infrared pre-heater that slightly heats the powder to let it stick better.
    5. The next step is heating and pressing the two materials together; an adjustable pressure roller provides the right amount of pressure to merge them.
  3. Laminating Process With Thermoplastic Adhesive Film Or Web
    1. For some applications, best laminating results are reached using a film or web instead of thermoadhesive powder.
    2. No powder scattering device is needed; the line is equipped with a roller to hold the film or web, which is entered between both layers of material, and the adjustable heat and pressure of the laminating calender provides the lamination.
  4. Ecosafe
    1. The Klieverik Ecosafe calender is suitable for thick substrates and substrates sensitive to heat, pressure or high speed lamination.
    2. The Ecosafe combines adhesive application (coating) at high speed with subsequent laminating of the second substrate outside the calender.
    3. It can operate with any type of thermoplastic adhesive powder, film or web, creating a versatile and highly productive line.
    4. Cost effective due to high speed, minimal consumption of energy and adhesive.
    5. Versatile in usage: use with or without Ecosafe extension.
    6. Ecosafe web path makes all types of lamination materials possible, even rigid materials.
    7. Eco friendly alternative to flame bonding; no toxic fumes.
