445 MW Siemens cogeneration plant based on Siemens V94.2 gas turbines introduced in 1981.
Worldwide about 450 units have been installed with about 7 million operating hours.
Major equipment supplied by various vendors; L&T built the plant.
Plant installed in 2006; natural gas available only from March 2009.
Plant ran until March 2013 and stopped due to gas unavailability; has not run since.
OMS had a contract for operations and maintenance and was at site until almost end of 2013; they confirmed they maintained and preserved the plant during their presence.
Gas turbines dehumidifier is a built-in feature of V94.2.
