Model number: 0520
Medical face mask synthetic blood penetration tester used for evaluating resistance to synthetic blood penetration (splash resistance) of medical face masks.
The test method challenges medical face masks with a fixed volume of synthetic blood directed at high velocity at the center of the mask.
A specimen mask is supported on the sample clamping device.
A fixed volume (standard: 2 ml) of synthetic blood is sprayed through a small cannula horizontally to hit the specimen mask.
At the conclusion of the test, visually observe the inner side of the medical face mask for synthetic blood penetration.
Masks can be evaluated at three different velocities corresponding to a human blood pressure of 80, 120, and 160 mmHg.
