Overview
Primary function: Micro-weighing treated cotton and inserting it into paper tubes via air force.
Production rate: Strict minimum throughput of 22 units (tubes) per minute.
Target fill weight: 4.5 grams per tube.
Fill weight tolerance: Extremely strict tolerance of ± 0.01 grams (± 0.15 gr).
Mechanical and Functional Specifications
Automated tube feeding (magazine system): The system will feature a multi-tube magazine or holder that automatically feeds and positions them exactly in front of the filling nozzle, and automatically feeds the next tube to be filled and feeds empty tubes to the nozzle once a tube is filled. Once a magazine (tube holder or storage) is empty, the next set of tubes will be fed from the next magazine.
Control system: Fully PLC-controlled system to synchronize the automatic infeed, micro-weighing, nozzle positioning, and outfeed.
Container Specifications (Paper Tubes)
The machine must be engineered to handle paper tubes with the following dimensions:
Outer dimension (OD): 40 mm
Inner dimension (ID): 38 mm
Length: 145 mm
Wall thickness: Approximately 2 mm
