  3. Gear Box
    1. A single reduction, double helical gear box with hardened and ground gears is employed to reduce the turbine speed as per the requirement of the electric generator.
    2. The gearbox output shaft is connected to the electric generator.
    3. The main lube oil pump is mounted on the gearbox gear NDE shaft, bringing the advantage of availability of lubricating oil for lubrication and cooling even for significant time under a blackout condition.
  4. Lubricating Oil System
    1. Steam turbine and gearbox assembly is mounted on a single base frame with under-base lubrication oil tank.
    2. All lube oil and control oil pipes, lube oil pumps and other components are mounted within the skid and are factory assembled.
    3. This brings precise workmanship with clean aesthetics to the package.
    4. It saves considerable time during erection as there is minimal site work.
  5. Integrated Turbine–Gearbox Base Frame With Built-In Lube Oil Tank
    1. The steam turbine and gearbox are factory-mounted and precisely aligned on a common base frame cum lube oil tank, with the lube oil piping integrated within the skid.
    2. Factory-aligned turbine and gearbox, minimizing site alignment requirements and associated risks.
    3. Integrated lube oil tank and piping, reducing site piping and installation work.
    4. Compact skid design, resulting in reduced equipment footprint.
    5. Reduced erection and commissioning time due to maximum factory pre-assembly.
    6. Reduced site manpower and installation complexity, ensuring faster and more reliable project execution.
  6. AC Generator & AVR Panel
    1. The electric generator is synchronous type rated at 11 KV, 60 Hz, 4 pole design with CACW cooling arrangement.
    2. Auto and manual (1A+1M) mode (ABB make model 1010) shall be used for voltage / PF controlling.
  7. Electrical System
    1. Line side cubicle (LA, SC, PT panel) housing lightning arrester, surge capacitors, potential transformer for generator protection; in addition, it will also house current transformers for input to relays and metering system.
    2. Neutral side cubicle (NGR panel) will house neutral grounding resistor with star point arrangement; in addition, it will also house current transformers for input to relays and metering system.
    3. AC motors, S1 duty rating and grade IE2, TEFC, IP55 with DOL starting method.
    4. DC motor, 110 V DC, TEFC, IP 54 protection.
    5. Wall mounted DC starter panel with 2 step resistors start system.
    6. MCC cubicle will serve as the auxiliary motor control centre, managing power distribution and control for all auxiliary motors and associated equipment.
  8. STG Control & Supervisory System
    1. The STG supervisory panel shall provide the necessary turbine governing, supervisory monitoring and critical protection functions for safe and reliable operation of the steam turbine generator.
    2. The panel shall incorporate an electronic governor for turbine speed and load control and a dedicated overspeed protection system for independent protection against turbine overspeed.
    3. The panel shall also provide necessary indications, alarms, permissive and trip interfaces associated with the turbine.
    4. The STG supervisory panel shall have suitable communication and hardwired interface provisions with the customer's central control system (PLC/DCS) for coordinated start-up, operation, monitoring, alarm and trip functions.
    5. Controls, sequences, permissive, interlocks and monitoring of STG auxiliary systems shall generally be implemented in the customer's PLC/DCS.
    6. Sequence descriptions, cause and effect, interlock/permissive logic and relevant I/O/interface details for implementation in customer's PLC/DCS.
    7. STG control.
  9. Combined STG Control & Protection Panel Housing
