Accuracy
Repeatability plus or minus 0.02 mm (0.0008 in) in the plane.
Repeatability plus or minus 0.01 mm (0.0004 in) on the Z axis.
Repeatability plus or minus 0.01 degree in rotation.
Speed And Cycle Time
Standard cycle time is measured on the back-and-forth arch motion, 300 mm across by 25 mm high (11.8 in by 1.0 in), at maximum speed and optimum stroke coordinates with a 2 kg payload.
500 mm arm: 0.39 seconds.
600 mm arm: 0.40 seconds.
700 mm arm: 0.42 seconds.
Axis Data
Maximum speed, axes 1 and 2 combined: 6,150 mm per second on the 500 mm arm, 6,800 mm per second on the 600 mm arm and 7,450 mm per second on the 700 mm arm.
Maximum speed, axis 3: 1,100 mm per second.
Maximum speed, axis 4: 2,000 degrees per second.
Range of motion: axis 1 plus or minus 132 degrees, axis 2 plus or minus 150 degrees, axis 3 200 mm (7.9 in), axis 4 plus or minus 360 degrees.
Motor power: 400 W on axis 1, 400 W on axis 2, 200 W on axis 3 and 100 W on axis 4.
Push-down force on axis 3: 100 N (22 lbf).
Allowable moment of inertia on axis 4: rated 0.01 kg.m2, maximum 0.12 kg.m2.
Weight
500 mm arm: 19 kg (42 lb), excluding cables.
600 mm arm: 20 kg (44 lb), excluding cables.
700 mm arm: 21 kg (46 lb), excluding cables.
Connections And Controls
No homing routine is needed at start-up.
User wiring circuit on a 26-pin D-Sub connector.
User air lines: two of 4 mm and two of 6 mm diameter.
Vision interface on two M12 gigabit Ethernet ports.
Teach pendant and control cabinet included.
Application Notes
Suited to light, fast pick and place work: tray loading, carton indexing and pack-out.
Where two workpieces are to be picked in one cycle, a dual-track feed and a gripper with two clamping cylinders are needed; the feed and gripper design have to be assessed for the parts and the tray.
Where parts must be laid into a tray at an angle, a six-axis robot suits the task better than a SCARA.
