Description

  1. Overview
    1. Complete new knife (doctor blade) coating line for PVC coated polyester tarpaulin, built to order to drawings agreed with the buyer.
    2. Roller width 3,800 mm (149.6 in), three coating and drying stations and three lacquer (surface treatment) stations.
    3. Overall dimensions about 5 x 80 x 10 m (16 x 262 x 33 ft) and weight more than 100 metric tons (220,000 lb).
    4. Supplied as one line of 69 sets of mechanical and electrical assemblies, from base fabric unwinding to twin center winding.
  2. Coating and Drying Sections
    1. No. 1 vertical knife coating unit followed by a 6,000 mm (19.7 ft) vertical oven heating unit and a cooling roller.
    2. No. 2 knife coating unit followed by a 9,000 mm (29.5 ft) horizontal oven unit.
    3. No. 3 top layer knife coating unit followed by a 28 m (92 ft) horizontal oven unit.
    4. Three surface treatment (lacquer) units, each followed by its own vertical oven heating unit and its own cooling unit above the oven.
    5. 16 electric three-way valve hot oil temperature control groups serve the heated sections.
  3. Web Handling
    1. No. 1 base fabric unwinding unit with tension detection control.
    2. No. 1 base fabric feeding roller unit and No. 1 base fabric accumulator frame unit.
    3. No. 1 base fabric preheating and cooling drive unit, two heating and two cooling rollers, with a temperature controlled electric three-way valve group.
    4. 13 tension detection and tension positioner control units through the line, on an automatic tension control system.
    5. Nine cooling roller and cooling drive units, including four-roller cooling groups after the third oven and after the lacquer section.
    6. Access platforms along the line.
    7. No. 2 finished product accumulator, pre-winding rubber pressure roller unit, electric and manual slitting knife unit and two edge trim winders.
    8. A-shaft and B-shaft center winding units.
    9. Two positions are prepared for embossing roller units.
  4. Controls
    1. Fully automatic tension control system operated from an integrated touch screen operation desk.
    2. Mitsubishi Q series programmable logic controller, Yaskawa A1000 variable frequency drives, Fuji low voltage components and contactors, Schneider push button indicators and permanent magnet class 1 energy efficiency motors.
    3. Three AC/DC electrical control cabinets, one touch screen electrical operation desk and two local electrical operation boxes, one at the unwinding and accumulator end and one at the center winding and finished product accumulator end.
    4. Master speed ON-OFF control: with master speed on, every drive on the panel starts; with master speed off, every drive stops.
    5. Linkage or single operation, with the linkage method in series or in parallel to the buyer's choice; high speed output 100 per cent and low speed output 10 per cent for fine speed ratio adjustment.
    6. Every drive reports to the operation desk with a touch screen current display, abnormality alarm and reset; speed ratios and stretch are shown to two decimal places.
    7. Any emergency stop button opens every hydraulically controlled pressure roller on the main machine. Emergency stops are logged automatically and can be read back on the operator interface after a power reset.
    8. The linkage program is saved automatically and is ready at the next start; adjustments made in single mode do not change the linkage speed ratios.
    9. Two hydraulic systems serve the line.
    10. Rubber pressure rollers and embossing rollers in the critical load-bearing positions run in steel bearing housings on double row roller bearings.
  5. Scope of Supply
    1. Mechanical content, electrical content and the supporting equipment on site: water pipes, oil pipes, wire and cable and smoke exhaust equipment.
    2. Special export packing is included in the quoted price.
    3. Not included: two online X-ray thickness gauges; the rubber rollers and embossing rollers for the two embossing units, four rollers in all; the public foundation and civil works on site.
  6. Build, Acceptance and Installation
    1. Manufactured to the standard drawings confirmed in the contract between both parties.
    2. Acceptance is based on normal operation during commissioning.
    3. One-year warranty on the equipment, with paid maintenance for the life of the machine.
    4. Installation is to take no more than 60 days, with the maker's mechanical and electrical engineers directing installation and commissioning on site.
    5. Delivery within 180 calendar days from the order deposit.
