  4. Description
    1. Two movable application heads extend the width of the plate to glue the head end of the plate according to the program specifications, then glue the long sides, and finally again through the foot end.
    2. In addition, depending on the equipment, application heads for median strips can be attached, which can be positioned manually above the working width.
    3. The controller contains connections for the belt motor of the on-site baseband over which the machine operates, as well as the communication connections necessary for the process for signal exchange with elements in front of and behind this band. In addition, the connection with an on-site emergency stop circuit is prepared. The electrical equipment can be individually expanded to take over the complete control of a line with alignment station, infeed belt, discharge belt, work belt and press.
    4. Procedure description: a plate to be glued is driven on the base belt up to the glue heads. In this position, the plate height is scanned and, if necessary, the height adjustment is operated. The plate is then positioned under the glue heads by the belt drive. Then the cross-gluing head travels the width of the plate. By switching on the belt drive again, the plate under the glue heads is moved forward. This causes longitudinal gluing.
    5. During longitudinal gluing, the median strips are also applied, provided that they are activated.
    6. When the end of the plate is detected by a light barrier, the forward movement of the plate is stopped and the cross-gluing head glues the rear edge of the plate width.
    7. After that, the removal of the plate is carried out by switching on the belt drive again and the machine is ready for the next cycle.
